The first one was bloody BRILLIANT, and I'm sorry it just dosn't feel like a triolgy franchise.

Another great film RUINED.

Despite this I will still be likely to see the film.
he should stop at 2 seeing as the first 2 terminator films rock he should be able to keep 2 films good and we've seen what happened with terminator 3....

Thats a good point, However there was a HUGE time gap between 2 and 3, Salvation I was strangely impressed with.

if you are to lazy to click the link
"To which Cameron answered that the plan had always been to make a trilogy of films. Finally, Cameron actually said it: "Yes, there'll be another.""
He said before it came out that if the first is successful he would create a sequel. I'll probably watch it.

Well since it'll be twelve years before humans reach the planet again (6 year trip both ways) then it'll either involve Jake's children or they'll cut out the humans altogether and take a more Pandora-centric approach where the antagonist is native to the planet, in which case the entire film will be CGI and they'll only need people to do voice casting.

Lol, nice one. I wonder how many people will actually understand this reference...

I thought James Cameron didn't do terminator 3, so if that is the case, it's probably not his fault.

If it was planned to be a trilogy from the very start, then I reckon the sequels won't be too bad, as he won't be just pulling random stuff from his arse and trying to make it fit. Everything should fit together nicely, and the epicness should be relatively undamaged.

Anyone remember Terminator 2?

Yeah, this is probably going to be great if not awesome. I wonder what the second film can be about thought though.

Humans have left Pandora and Jake has become a Na'Vi. Maybe the humans comes back or maybe it'll be one another planet? I don't really care right now, I'm too excited.
Personal speculation? I think that Jake's mind will begin to reject his Avatar body. It makes sense given the context of the Avatar concept. Either that or it'll be a new setting, planet, characters, etc.

I'm relentlessly optimistic about anything he does and I've enjoyed everything he has done.

And I thought Avatar was great and have no problem seeing more of it.

I'm a perfect fan.
I saw it in 3D. My mind is still blown.

Because someone called Crystal Hawk with 5 posts has always been our go-to guy for movies! Oh, wait, people beat him to it. And those people were called the Escapist... video... guys...

I mean to the movies in general, maybe not Avatar, (WHICH WAS BLOODY AMAZING, THERE'S A REASON IT PULLED A BILLION IN ABOUT 17 DAYS.) because I can't seem to find a review of that. Hmm.

I really like the first Avatar film, and I respect James Cameron as a director. (Aliens and Terminator 2, just to name two of my favourite films from him.) So yeah I'll be looking forward to this.

I hated the first one, I am not being suckered in again to watch the second one.

I still want to kill my friend for talking me into seeing the 3D version.

Really?
It seemed to end pretty conclusively...
Oh wait...money.

Oh well, might be good...but I don't believe for a second that it was intended to be a trilogy.
