Since I can't be bothered to go to a different page to respond, I'm not going to comment on the avatar of the one above me.
My avatar, however, was chosen for two reasons: 1) It's Kirby as I always imagined him, without all the gore censored out and 2) As I am very large, and I generally eat quite a bit, it just makes sense.

My avatar is none other than Renamon, one of the main characters from Digimon Tamers and my favorite of the entire series. Choosing an expression that is very bipolar of her normal state of mind, she approves of my posts as I spend my time here. Renamon also personifies my Digimon partner in the RP I am running over in the Forum Games and RP Board: Digimon: Code Incarnate, which is going great.
Come October, there will be a rather....spookier version of my avatar coming, but still retaining Renamon's happy nature. Prepare yourselves for that.

Although me and Stephen Stills don't have a lot in common, I keep using him as my avatar. He's just really, really cool.
What does it show about me? I'm very unoriginal.
Simply because I've been copying @Glamorgan 's avatar since I put up my original [http://paulrobertson.mechafetus.com/stills_idle.gif] Scott Pilgrim related one. I'm just confirming my unoriginality by putting up one playing a guitar.
It's also led me to discoverer that I'm easily amused. Seeing his and my own avatars rocking out by my friends list still makes me smile.

It's not Renamon's fault, it's just what I've seen the internet do to her... or it, I dunno, I don't watch that there DiggyMan you young kids like.
But yeah, Rule 34 can do terrible, terrible things.

Mine is a card in Magic the Gathering. It was my favorite creature to play. It is Mirri the cat warrior. I just chose her because the picture worked well with my handle IMO.

Mine shows that I am a fan of System of a Down and that I enjoy the escapist. Also that I have visited the avatar store at one point due to my lack of skills with photoshop.

It's an Iron Maiden album cover. I like Iron Maiden. That's as sophisticated as the interpretation gets.
Mine is, uh, something that I found pretty interesting. I am a fan of Audrey Kawasaki. That's about it, really.
And I like Iron Maiden too. Their new album isn't bad at all. Except I cracked the CD case. It's kind of depressing - it now resembles an iPhone.
