Why do young animals such as kittens look cute while human babies look like ugly fatblobs?

I mean, this isn't subjective, is it? I googled "cute animal" and "cute baby" and this is what I got. Cute animals and a rather scary human being.

I was lucky.. Apparently I was a really hairy baby. Like I had hair over every ounce of my body, so I guess that might have been the reason my parents didn't throw me out as soon as I was born.
