Okay. More tips. The knife is much less effective than it is in MW2. Only knife someone when you are behind them, as otherwise you will get wasted, and not in the good way. Try to avoid relying on it for sneak attacks, anyway, as the hit detection for it (at least, on the PS3) is balls-awful. If the knife stab misses the first time, don't bother trying again, just shoot them.

In conquest, avoid the UAV at all costs. The minute someone sees the helicopter, they will run to the position for an easy kill.

Here's a good rushing class. Assault with the 870 Combat or the NS2000 (avoid the SPAS-12, it's the worst of the shotguns, IMO). Perks should be Lightweight Kit (+ sprint speed) and Body Armor (+ health). Pistol should either be the MP-443 or the WWII pistol. And there you have it: the perfect class for the smaller conquest maps.

Don't bother using sights or Magnum Ammo with the M60. You will need the extra ammo perk, and the ironsights are perfectly fine. Magnum Ammo only saves you about two bullets to kill, so it's not that worth it.

Don't use the SV98. It's got worse stats than the M24 in damage and accuracy, in exchange for a 10-shot clip. Using it with a 4x Scope or Red Dot sight is fine, but the GOL is still better.

That's all I've got for now.

EDIT: Oh yeah. When you hear a motion sensor go off, check you minimap immediately. If it's a friendly one, it can tell you where an enemy is. If there is no such marking on the map, either get the fuck out of there or stand still. If you don't move, you won't show up on enemy motion mines, which at least evens the playing field.

Okay so I recintly made the transistion from MW2 to Bad comapny. So far I'm doing alright, level six in three days, hooray.
But I seem to end up getting shot in the back quite a lot, so I was wondering, any tips or tactics the escapist finds useful?
When practicing with the chopper make sure you dont use an attack one because then your team loses a valuable resource always use the transport and just try to stay up for as long as possible so that way if they all realize that you suck they can just jump out and go on with life
Acctually now that you mention helicopetrs, how do you parachute?
Press the jump button while falling.

My choice of weapon late on would be the M416 - Used with a 4x Scope and Magnum ammo, If at distance you tap the right trigger instead of full on holding it down for spray, at medium to long distances you can take people out with great accuracy.

Close distance just hold down :p

Don't run down the middle of the road even if you think there aren't any enemies (because there is almost always someone).

Only go after the UAV if there's someone to watch your back and expect someone to notice the drone, ignore it, and go after you instead.

When piloting a tank don't shoot the scenery for fun unless there's someone in the building. As much fun as blowing holes in walls is, sneaking up on someone with a tank is much funnier than someone spotting the dust cloud from the outhouse you evaporated and dropping mines/C4 in front of you.

Any weapon stuff is basically personal preference, so don't be afraid to try something out. There really isn't any strict PERFECT BUILD OR GO HOME as they all fire bullets that kill mans.

When someone kills you don't chase after him for a revenge kill. Stick to the mission. It's about winning as a team, not the K/D ratio.

Don't be a douche and blow up cover that allies are hiding in, unless it's a sniper hiding in the back of your base being useless in a close match. Then blow up his cover with gusto.

Also pretty much everything that Leviathan said, except I personally don't like purposefully inciting rage, as my bullets in their previously alive corpse is enough fun-ruining for me, but to each his own.

Enjoy and good luck!

personally i love being engineer, very versatile. use a shot gun ,my choice is wither neostead or the saiga if u like to go bat sht insane. If u use the saiga ALWAYS use magnum ammo. NEVER EVER run straight at an enemy, especially if hes a medic (that asshole will shoot u down FAST). if u see an enemy group go for the medic first! (i fuking hate medics!)

You repeatebly tap A as you're falling to deploy a 'chute.
EDIT: Ninja'd, so I'll just say my favorite guns and how they can be used effectively.
Assault: Either the XM8 or the F2000, F2000 rocks in CQC, XM8 more so as an effective simpel assault rifle for mid range. Always burst fire. Unless you're within touching distance of a single enemy with the F2000, then let rip!

Engineer: SCAR-L with ACOG x4 scope, and the M2 Carl Gustav Rocket Launcher. SCAR is pretty accurate, but burst firing is advisable, but at mid ranges you can get away with sustained fire sometimes.

Medic: M249, great sights, accurate, and a fucking huge mag. Shoot however you want, you'll take a loooong time to run out of ammo. It feels really satisfying laying down suppresive support fire with it, too.

Recon: Either T-88 for long range anti-infantry, or VSS with ACOG x4 as a battle rifle for mid-close range. It seems like the VSS was made for that. It shoots fast, and loses accuracy quick with sustained fire, so shoot it by tapping the trigger, it should come out as burst of two-three shots.

Everything else:
M93R Pistol: I love this, it's so fun to shoot, and it's... alright, stat wise. MP-443 Gratch is my real recomendation sidearm, though. M93R Still looks fantastic as well, though, if you want gun eye-candy.
Saiga Shotgun: Awesome, semi auto, good range and a big mag, so go overboard with it. Very good gun. Haven't unlocked Slugs yet, so I can't tell about that.

If you want to level up fast, use the medic class. Throw down med packs and revive people all over. You will rake in points.

If you get in a vehicle, try to avoid rushing their spawn. Stay back and take long range shots with the tank or whatever. You will immediately get destroyed if you rush a spawn. Edit: Unless, you know, its a rushing vehicle like a humvee or Quad. But I think that goes without sayin.

A little known fact about the assualt class; if you use one of the alternative guns that doesn't have a noobtube on it, you get C4. I recommend that use use C4 to destroy the buildings that hold the objective, instead of arming the bomb. It'll go by much faster.

And if for some reason you find it necessary to snipe, for the love of God actually spot the enemies. This is done by pressing the back button on the xbox or the select button on the PS3. Even the best snipers are gonna miss a shit ton, so at least mark them with the spotting tool. It makes your teams job soo much easier.

And unless if you really feel like being a total jackass, Play hardcore and go behind the enemy spawn with one of the auto snipers. Free cheap kills.

Im not a massive fan of shotguns, i dont mind the close up thing as thats what shotguns are for, but after the weapon update a while back now. I sometimes get anouyed by being sniped long range by a shotgun, kinda stupid really. But not a game breaker or something.

I only use shot guns on close quarters urban combat like Arica Harbor, but with the 12 gauge slug you can use them almost anywhere. Killing snipers with one is especially hilarious. Actually, killing snipers period is great.

Don't underestimate a weapon because of it's low power, seriously, the only weapon that I can think of that's complete and utter shit and that you shouldn't use, is the M93 Raffica.

Which is a shame, because that gun had the potential to be a ridiculously badass weapon.
I'm gonna be honest, I thought that gun was ridiculously over powered.

Medic is the best class for getting points, by far.

"shotgun snip"
it looked to me like he was using slugs in that video and you don't unlock those till level 16 and it is apparently just like a sniper bullet for your shotgun

my advice would be "be careful when your attacking on rush not to snipe unless you are covering the m-com stations really well or doing a really good job of spotting your not helping your team out a whole lot

For the love of God, know when NOT to go recon. There's nothing worse then playing rush and having 5 snipers doing jack shit in the back of the map.

Hide... take cover all the time. And if you're spotted, move to a different area because the spot goes away if you move behind something. Keep your back to the wall as much as you can and always check every direction. And if hiding isn't your thing, stick with allies. Three on one gives you a lot better chance of survival.

Bring a Mic. Its always good to have someone on the team who can at least try to communicate. Strategy and Teamwork are very very useful.

I am a sniper. Gotta say. The thing about sniping in this game is, its a little more difficult for snipers. You have to move around. You have to get one hit kills. I always try for a headshot. You should too. I am only giving sniping help, because thats what i'm best at. Oh and don't always stay in scope. you'll be able to view the battlefield as a whole if you look at it unobstructed.
