So, basically, you just paid £50 for what is essentially a trim on me? Costs me £15 for that. I could probably get it cheaper but I have a certain amount of loyalty to my hairdressers so I keep going back there.

You got ripped off.
£15? I get mine done for £9.

I get my haircut close and short so its pretty hard to muck it up. Though I did get is shaved far too close once and looked a bit like a skinhead for a few weeks till it grew.

Oh and all you people with long hair GET A HAIRCUT YA DAMN HIPPY.

Oh well, the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is only a week.
This.

I paid £30 for a haircut once, in Toni & Guy. When the girl asked what I wanted done, I just said "I dunno, whatever you want". Walked out with a generic emo fringe, which is probably reasonable considering my hair was blue at the time. It looked pretty good anyway, so I can't complain. Then a week later it looked like I hadn't done anything to it for ages. Mehhh. Frankly, the best part of it was getting my hair washed by a hot blonde and then cut by a cute scene girl with pink hair.

Before all that rigmarole, I just grew it out and got my mum to cut it once every few years. Now I just go to a gents barber and get a trim once every couple of months. Much easier, much cheaper, much less maintenance required.

Why'd you pay for a haircut that you didn't like? If she didn't cut your hair the way you wanted it done you had all the right in the world to tell her to bugger off and keep your money.

As far as personal stories go I really don't have any. I get a fairly simple haircut (2 top with a 1 fade) and any barber with a license can give me my haircut in their sleep. Worst I've ever had was a barber with shaky hands who kept nicking me with a razor, but I didn't really make a big deal of it, because he apologized and even gave me a discount for the cut.

I just shave my head (near) bald once my hair gets long, for the low, low price of whatever it costs to run a electric razor for 5 minutes.

I cut an inch off my ponytail every few months or so. That keeps it at a reasonable length for me and looks nice cascading over my shoulders when I untie it. Also I trim my bangs to be about even with my cheekbones.

I used to have hair about 15cm long and I always brushed it behind my head. I thought it looks good.

God, how wrong I was. And for almost 2 months...

Right now, I have emo-like hair, but the girl that cuts my hair knows how to make it look good. Without covering 4/5 of my face with hair or looking emo.

Too bad I know I'll be bald by the time I'm 25. My father started loosing hair when he was at the University... I mean, I won't get bald instantly, but I will shave myself bald when I get a bald spot on my head. I will join my idols, like Vin Diesel, Michael Stipes or Homer Jay Simpson.

edit: Oh, my current haircut costs me 25 PLN, a bit under $10 or 5 pounds.

I haven't had a haircut since last September.
I'm used to having long hair as it was the standard for where I grew up, but, my mother made me have it cut, as I said, last September.
Needless to say the barber was awful, I wore a hat from then until this Easter and got annoyed about it.

Although, I do need one now, as I seem to be the only boy with long hair is this county.
Also, believe it or not, having "LOOK IT'S JESUS" shouted at you can get annoying.

I recently went for a trim and specifically motioned out how short I wanted it, by way of putting my hand flat at the level I wanted to be at.

Yeah... I got totally ignored. I ended up with something just shy of a buzz cut. My long hair that I spent months growing, gone!

I usually have pretty long hair (foot/foot and a half) and every time I cut it (no matter where) I always walk away dissatisfied... good thing is, I only cut it once every 6 months or so.
"LOOK IT'S JESUS!"
Yeah. I get that too...

I don't get my hair cut, as I'm growing it long, but once a month I go to a Turkish Barber's and get my beard done. It's so awesome it's unreal...

My hair looks rather unkempt regardless of it's length. So, being lazy, I usually let it grow for a few months, and then get it lopped off when it becomes too irritatingly long.

Never had a bad hair cut. Sometimes they leave the bangs in against my wishs, but it looks alright. Right now it sorta short. Just like Freeman's

I used to have a similar problem, I had a tail up until about a couple of months ago andf had it pointed out very often. Eventually I had it cut off, makes me sweat less.

As for bad cuts, ever seen Coconut head out of that old Ned's Declassified show? I used to have that hair after every cut.

I'm thinking about getting a buzz cut, because I consider hair a nuisance. But I'm not sure how I'll look, so I'll probably put off getting it for a while.

I cut my own hair, so I don't ever have to worry about retarded hairdressers. I gave up on them after they constantly ignored what I asked for, and cut it however they felt like.
