So, the apartment complex has a rule about pets. You can have ONE pet, who must be at least 1 year old, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Before we moved in May of this year, we had just gotten a 6 week old kitten. We brought her along, because we didn't want to give her to a family member or a shelter. The manager of the complex called me today and asked, "DO YOU HAVE A KITTEN IN YOUR APARTMENT?" I said, "Yes we do. I'm happy to pay the pet deposit ($300, if you can believe that) if you let us keep it here. We are in the process of getting her vaccines and will get her declawed as soon as she's old enough for the surgery." The manager said, "THERE ARE NO PETS ALLOWED IN YOUR APARTMENT WHO ARE UNDER A YEAR OLD! YOU NEED TO GET RID OF IT IMMEDIATELY!" The only reason she's not letting us keep our cat is because she's not a year old, and I think that rule is ridiculous.
