Let's see. NES endings are too easy, so I'll limit myself to recent memories.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - For teasing me with a much better movie than the one I saw in the theatre.
Fallout 3 pre-Broken Steel - I don't think I need to elaborate.
Fable 2 - Insultingly anti-climactic.
Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 - I know it's meant to be some kind of co-op TF2 with zombies, but I would like some kind of resolution to the background plot. We're right back to "A winner is you!" territory here.
L4D 1 and 2 have no ending, there's always something going on with the survivors, the survivors really never win, seen in the Passing how the original survivors lost someone (not gonna spoil it for those who haven't been spoiled yet). The game was supposed to have a faint storyline, killing zombies is most of the game.
EDIT: OT: I hated the ending of Battlefield Bad Company 2...Its just something that says "We're gonna have a 3rd in the series!"

Super Mario Galaxy. Wonderful game, but it was also the first Mario game I actually played through the end. It seemed like everyone was all happy-go-lucky and willing to get along, but the next game comes and Bowser is at it again. I guess you really shouldn't take a Mario game's story seriously.

Also, the first Assassin's Creed. And Halo 2. Grrrr.

Games are losing their creativity lately, I can name a lot that end great (FF X, Gears 2), but also some that do not. My least favourite would have to be the ending to Final Fantasy I.
You do realize it's a 20 year old game. Not very recent at all!

OP: White Knight Chronicles. I don't like cliffhangers.
Look at the first post on this page, go ahead, I'll wait a few seconds, I know right? Don't you feel retarded.

I just got done playing Onimusha on the PS2, worst ending ever!
After you kill the last boss, it cuts to a historic narative reciting the events and what would happen to the characters - I felt like I was watching something on the history channel! And then you see the credits and I'm like wtf!?

Army of Two 40th day

(SPOILER) it ends with you either choosing to blow up a city or killing your best friend to save the city only to find out there was no bomb.

go fuck yourself EA if you don't want continue the franchise then don't continue the franchise don't piss all over the few fans the game has.

Mirrors Edge has by far the worst ending I've ever seen.
Followed closely by Fable II and Crackdown

Halo 2: "Finish the fight!"

Fallout 3: "KK, dead now, cool story though bro! Lets have a recap on how cool you were, oh, and you can't continue, the past 40 hours have been a waste of time."

Modern Warfare 2: "Lets go get the badgu- END!" (Worst part is, we may never see the end of that)

Borderlands: "Lol, look, a giant squid monster! Killed it? Ok, done, Kkthnksbai! Playthrough 2?"

Fable 2: "Cool, you killed the final boss with one button, your a wicked sick pro gamer. Now you can make a wish, any wish! As long as it's one of these three very lame options..."

Actually.. thinking about it, all of these endings made me feel.. well, cheated... Left a taste of "really? thats it? seriously?" in my mouth.

Uuuuuuuuggguuaahhhuuaahh.
Dragon Age: Origins, Fable 2, Fallout 3 (although I haven't bought Broken Steel yet), Prototype, Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy ('cause they didn't even make a friggin' sequel, the end makes no sense) and likely others I've forgotten about.
Oh, and the bad endings for the Oddworld games. Just tragic, man.

Grand theft auto libery city stories, you go trough a lot of troubles for your boss and you get a lame ass ending. You may think that you can't expect a lot from the GTA series (PS2/PSP) but GTAIII at least had a good secuence.

Worst ending ever: Psy-Ops.
I mean, the game was decent. In the final cutscene, the protagonist FINALLY recovers his memories, and lo and behold, the screen goes black and simply says "TO BE CONTINUED". That's one of the most douchebag endings I've ever seen.

The funniest thing is that the game was made by Midway Games, and Midway closed doors in 2009/2010. Talk about karma.

Few of these I've seen and didn't have the same issue with, Kotor2 for example.

But Fallout 3; well, after broken steel, all is good. Before broken steel almost all is good. Self sacrifice, or being bitchy and demanding someone else to sacrifice themselves all fine and good, not every game needs a final boss.

BUT if I've brought Fawkes along with me, a damned super-mutant, a whole race who have had it very clearly defined that radiation has no negative effects on them, maybe even positive ones, and I'm not allowed to send him in instead of me?
I'm sorry, but I go in, I die; you go in, you live. And you won't agree to this why?

AND Broken steel did actually still have one gripe about this afterwards. Ok, so now you can send Fawkes in, in what I like to call the "common sense" solution, but in the dialog epilogue thing, I makes me out as being a jerk, for refusing to sacrifice myself and demanding that another do it instead! I didn't! No one died, no sacrifice was made, and I'm not a jerk for asking Fawkes to go in instead of me (reference you back to my "common sense" solution bit).

Final Fantasy VI
Mass Effect
Knights of the Old Republic

and...

Metal Gear Solid 3. If you don't tear up at that ending you don't have a soul.
MGS3 had an emotional ending, but not a bad one. As for Mass Effect, I just consider the entire trilogy to be one long ass game, so I have yet to see its "ending".

OT: A little game called "Pariah" on the Xbox a while ago. Oh yes, this ending is utter shit...

However, the biggest "FUCK YOU" of an ending comes from a game called "Drakengard". In order to get the whole ending you must replay through the final chapter several times (each time revealing a different part of the end) and go through a collection quest. Once you do all of that, you get Ending E:

Yup. Fucked up...

I guess I'm the only one who liked the ending to God of War 3.
Don't worry I thoroughly enjoy the ending to GoW3 it actually gave some closure and wrapped up most of the loose ends. Also ended on a fucking hardcore note. Best part is we got an actual ending and they're making a new GoW game for the PSP :D
