Lets see what my badges are first...

Yeah they don't really mean much. They just look cool.

I don't care about badges very much. The only one I've ever really worked hard for is the Beard Badge. I worked really really hard for it. The other ones I just put there because I like them more than the others I have.

TL;DR: Why do you have the top 4 badges that you have?

Because those are the last four I was awarded.

I never really cared, either I get awarded them for doing what I am doing, or it's not to difficult. I have yet to do any of the fetch quests, except for the BAMALAM one, but that one I already knew how to get for a long time before I asked for it.

...the only one I'm looking forward to getting is the 3 year badge which I'm a year away from getting so I'm not going to hold my breath.

I'm pretty sure I should have that one already. Eh, whatever.

I made this exact sort of thread in the PubClub just yesterday. XD

For me, I am trying to convey something that reflects my personality. Specifically, with my badges, I am trying to say that I am a friendly person (lots of friends, and a big heart) who is willing to talk to people (receives lots of PM's), but who also has some strange quirks that involve influencing people's thoughts (but not really in a religious way).

I like how it is, though I'll probably dump the cleric badge for something... else in about 2 weeks. ^_^

Edit - I have now changed the badges to the ones that represent my personality according to quizzes on the escapist.

We learn something new everyday. XD

TO me, its just wat i view as "accomplishments" here, and a way of telling what i do here and my interests.

Okay in order left to right:

1.)Proud to be a Pub-Club member, it is all the awesome.

2.)--3.) I love that I was a part of the Escapist March Mayhem. Also that I did really well with it. I don't remember what actual place my bracket came in, but I know it was in the top 20 of that 3000 plus people that did one. I would say that at least a third of my post count comes from that time. Some of my best Escapist memories also come from there as well. My favorite part was when everybody rallied around Valve so that it could slay the evil Zygna monster. And finally, Valve winning the competition was just icing on the cake....wait....(insert game meme)

4.) The #4 slot is for the latest badge that I like the most.

There you have it, you have gotten a look into my Escapist brain.

"Regular" will be replaced with the Three Beers ("Landmark") badge in May/June of next year. Mostly, I like to show that despite my post count, I'm around very often, and will be a part of this community for the forseeable future, and longer.

Winning the Webby: Just showing off that I've done my part.

Geek to the Core: Covers my gamer personality nicely. ^_^

Puppy: Eh. It's a puppy. It deserves a spot on my top 4, surely?

Do I hunt for badges, though? Not at all. The more, the better, sure. But I don't go out of my way just to get more.

Yes, I hunt for badges, going to shameless lengths to get them (you should have seen my pathetic excuse for a 'beard'. Looked like I glued pubes to my face a la Cartman. I didn't upload a picture out of pure embarrassment). I also keep my top four arranged nicely and I'm proud of the four I have there now. All four mean something to me (though my Beta Chatter badge will be the next to go if I ever get Forum Inferno or Thanks).

I haven't had a new badge in ages, so I can't remember my top-4. I think it's a mixture of quiz results and post badges.

A while ago I meticulously re-ordered all my badges so that they were in groups (post badges next to each other, quiz rewards next to each other etc)
