There's nothing wrong with the badges...I like collecting things, so if it is a slow day, I'm sure taking quizzes and seeing if a badge results would be some form of entertainment. (very, very mild entertainment)

It's always interesting to see something new has popped up, so something you did resulted in a random reward.

Also, they can further describe you...I hope my badges can further (and better) represent my character, in an "at-first-glance" kind of manner, in the future.

With that, they aren't necessary and it would be a fine website without them. I do like them, though.

I arrange them in order of yummy-ness, since I'm a big fan of sweets. The candy-cane badge is probably my favorite so far.

the badges is, the way I see it, a flag.
it shows the users motivation or behaviour on the forums.
is this person a quiz-loving nutjob? why yes, acording to the vast amount of quizbadges.
Does this person like Yatzhee? and so on.
In the end they are but harmless fun for the one who obteins them and little more.

I kinda like randomly finding them or being sent a message about one when I didn't realise it would happen. It's like CHRISTMAS.

But otherwise, I don't really aim to go hunting for them, I'm just bored at work and have only just discovered that all the things I used to do on here without having an account suddenly give me little virtual presents when I do them now. Incentive!

Seriously though, I love these things, Beard and Biff!!! are both pretty rare, especially since Beard is gonna stop being found any-time soon (Too many people, hard to control the secret) and well the Biff!!! one is only held by like 10 people. I was the second user to find it.

The beer is gonna be pretty commonplace soon enough, sadly, but the Founder King is in fashion for a while, Fuck yeah!

I didn't see this before - so epic. It sparked goodness knows how many bizarre, strange random images of your avatar working out.

And that is a HEFTY amount of badges. Kudos!

I like badges. They're a nice little thing to get.
I've got them in the order i like. I'm quite the fan of Doomsday Arcade, so that mushroom badge is important to me. Most of the time i had laser-cat as a badge, since it's so awesome, but now i got that little note-badge and decided to wear it a little. The traveler-badge i use just for the nice colors.

I think it's a nice touch that the Escapist overlords have allowed us. That said, I put up the ones that I feel are cool, or who reflect what I like.

The ones I've got are the ones I like best. Ubermensch is pretty nifty, The Pony-Lover is ooh-so shiny and pink, Forum Vagabond looks pretty awesome, and Beta-Chatter reminds me that, for once, I participated in something, which I usually find hard to do.

Really though, they're funky little perks, and although I don't go out of my way to hunt for badges, they're still cool, and I do enjoy it when I get a new one.
