Pink Floyd. Maybe a mode to play through gapless albums in one sitting :D
More a test of endurance than skill, but if I can do it with a real guitar, surely a rock band guitar should be easy?
You'd think that, really, but I actually find real guitar easier than rock band guitar...
Haha, I know what you mean. I used to be shit hot at guitar hero back when GH2 came out, but now I just get frustrated and pick up a real guitar instead

Can you imagine how hard a The Who: Rock Band would be? The chords... there's so many of them.

I'm not a huge fan of Soilwork, but I have to say your cover looks really freaking cool.

OT: Many people have said it, but a Rock Band: Iron Maiden would be really awesome.

*mind explodes*

I know this is cliché and all, but that is the best idea ever conceived and because of it you have won the internet. For realsies.
*instant befriending due to liking of Kyuss and/or QOTSA*

Why thank you. I'll try and get it off the ground at some point.
*instant re-befriending as Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age are insanely awesome, although Kyuss more-so*

Daisuke Ishiwatari, if you know who that is you are awesome, and you probably agree with me.

I demand a piano hero. 10 buttons, 1 for each finger. Play the greatest compositions in history. The day I can play Debussey on a plastic controller is the day I die happy.

music from the 1920s-50s. I know it's general, but as any Fallout player will tell you, the music from that era was excellent. It could be called "Big Band Hero" and have a peripheral shaped like a trumpet or a trombone. Bands could include Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack, Roy Brown, Louis Armstrong, and these guys:

Who wouldn't like that?!

After playing RB: The Beatles, *the* benchmark for band specific games, it was clear to me that to produce such a rich experience, a band needs:

1) A significant catalog of guitar friendly songs
2) Strong associated imagery to use in game

I can think of three bands that meet the criteria:

1) Iron Maiden (It's been said, a lot)
2) Pink Floyd
3) Kiss

And, for those asking, you're very unlikely to ever get Led Zeppelin. AFAIK, Jimmy Page despises band games.

LED ZEPPELIN! They are my favorite band of all time. Every intrument would be used to fullest extent. Jimmy Page is one of the best guitarists ever, Robert Plant has one of the most iconic voices in rock, John Bonham is in my personal top 3 drummers ever (possibly the best), John Paul Jones is the bassist and I actually remember his name, that should be enough to prove he rules. They have tons of songs ranging in length, intensity and style, so their music is ideal for a GH/RB track list.

See my post. Jimmy Page despises band games.

Rush Rock Band.

Epic vocals, epic guitar, epic bass, epic drums, epic keyboard.

Queens of the Stone Age or Ok Go.

With Ok Go, sure they only have 3 albums but they're all extremely fun to play so I could see it work on GH or RB

Motley Crue and Alice Cooper

Actually I'd like an Alice Cooper/Ozzy Osbourne combo set. For some reason in my mind they go together like Pacino and DeNiro.
