Oh, and Zatanna gets angry with people calling her Zantana. New52 did not do her character any good, anyway.
Off topic, the hell did New52 do to Zatanna?

Her own comic got cancelled halfway through (ongoing story left unfinished), and she got re-invented with a stupid costume as part of a male hero's much less interesting team. New52 did a lot of that.

I hope it does okay, but I've already got merchandise of a blonde super heroine that can fly, and has super strength.
And heaven help me if they make a Play Arts Kai Classic Power Girl.

Wow. Are they even trying?

At this point I honestly don't think the Barbie brand can do anything to bring its image to the 21st century. Everything Barbie stands for is intrinsically tied to societal gender stereotypes that will never change if this trailer is anything to go by.

Why does everything still have to be so pink? Why does Barbie's identical girl-friends have to be so attractive/perfect (and Barbie for that matter) Why does everything have to be related to Princesses in some way? Why, oh why, can't Barbie be a normal girl? What little girl can relate to this nonsense? How does Barbie help you to play out your fantasies of being a do-gooding superhero when she's so unrealistic to begin with?

What about that construction worker? I want to know more about him!

SO many questions.

Psst! Guys, did you get that the robber was bad? Did ya? Cause he was wearing black - all black - anything that isn't pink is bad!

I remmeber last time barbie wanted to "inspire girls to be scientists". Their whole premise was that barbie wanted to be a scientist but did not understood science so she asked for her (male) friends for help on science project and she basically acted like a sales representative instead. When people called the author on making barbie the opposite of what was intended he though it was harassment.

hopefully this time barbie actually does something for herself, but then its barbie, would probably be first for her.
