played it but i just bought aion collectors edition and some minor games so my gaming budget is out, but ill get it next month, i even tried begging my mom but she thought 20 year olds who never call shouldn't get their games from their mom, then she continued to ***** and be passive aggressive no wonder i dont call mom! Since the German PSN doesn't get any playable material suitable for people older than 14, and the Xbox Marketplace won't let you download the damn thing yet if you've got a lowly Silver membership I grudgingly downloaded the PC demo and played it. And it was really cool.
It's somewhat realistic in that Batman doesn't respond well to a hail of bullets ripping through his flesh, the stealth gameplay works crazy well, as does the combat, the overall presentation looks fantastic and does indeed remind me of the comic 'Arkham Asylum' (kudos to anyone who's read that masterpiece), and to put the cherry on top the original voice actors from Batman: TAS reprise their roles and deliver a top notch performance.
I'm eagerly awaiting my pre-ordered copy with the Batarang. ^^

Demo was really short, but shows potential. I'll wait for reviews though, I have two main concerns:
1. Combat and item diversity as the game progresses
2. Game length (the demo was REALLY short)

This game strikes me as the type I'll want to play multiple times. Like Dead Rising or Force Unleashed. Games that, while short, demand multiple playthroughs to get the most out of them. And I love games like that.

Also the demo was awesome. I've played several times and can't wait for the full version.

I love the demo. I'm usually not a big fan of stealth, but the stealth in this game is actually fun.

I just finished playing it, looks interesting & was rather enjoyable, I want the game, but probably won't get it for lack of funds.

Demo Review
Pros:

The combat is really fluid

Being able to play the game as a stealthy Batman or an "up-front" Batman

The voice acting is wonderful. (I can't tell who does the Joker's voice, but he's done it before. And the Warden's voice sounds familiar also. I know he played as the narrator on Fat Princess.)

Making guards terrified is very very satisfiying

Cons:

Not much that I disliked. The only thing I can think of is that when you go for a finishing blow during melee, it looks like your punches miss, and it would be more cool if there was a little blood. Since it uses the Unreal engine, bodies fall over very limply, and unrealistically.

Oh, and if you didn't know, Eidos is developing the game and they made: Tomb Raider, Hitman, Commandos, Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain, Thief, Timesplitters, and Fear Effect.

Hey Yahtzee might actually like it because Eidos made the Thief series.

Pretty sure eidos is a publisher not a developer. they where for age of conan anyway.

i dont have a ps3 yet (and im not buying a 360), and my pc wouldnt probably not be able to handle it, but ive seen some videos of it and it looks great. visuals, voice acting and combat.

ive seen the e3 ign thing, and it wont just be in the asylum, it´ll be across the whole Arkham Island. and they said something about a showdown with kille croc.

Also there are ALOT of villians named to just be thrown into a short game.

I played it and it gave me massive blue balls, especially when the joker releases that big mutant and then it ends, WTF!!!!!
