Batman Arkham Asylum Demo

I loved the demo. The combat was brilliant, and i loved that last room. Not sure if i'll get it though, worried about replay value. I'll wait to find out roughly how long it is before I make a decision.

Oh, and if you didn't know, Eidos is developing the game and they made: Tomb Raider, Hitman, Commandos, Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain, Thief, Timesplitters, and Fear Effect.

Hey Yahtzee might actually like it because Eidos made the Thief series.

Technically, Eidos published these games, they didn't develop them.

I played it and it gave me massive blue balls, especially when the joker releases that big mutant and then it ends, WTF!!!!!

That mutant would be Amygdila, a c list villain who had fouled brain surgery that resulted in damage making him hyper aggressive and angry.

I have played the demo dozens of times, I really really like it. The voiceacting is superb and it's an absolute blast to silently pick off the guards one by one and then stalking the last remaining, and terrified, guard and then when he turns around BAM I smack him around while he shits his pants twice!

I am seriously considering getting this game, but I want to try and space out the money I spend and the games I'm playing. I tend to want a fresh game every other week...

On-Topic: I think that you will be able to choose more than just Batman and the Joker in challenge rooms. I think you can play as the Riddler after finding all his trophies. This may happen with other characters.

ahhh, I agree with you on that, it's a fun demo but I you have to wait half your life to download a demo that takes 5 minutes to beat (both times exaggerated) I wouldn't worry about it.

I LOVE IT I'm totally going to get this when it comes out. I love the fighting system and how they got Mark Hammil to be the Joker. It's perfect.

I played it, and I think I will probably buy it. It plays well, and I could see it having a lot of replayability, tackling situations in different ways, and all the collectables and extra stuff.

So yeah, I'll get it most probably.

I've played the demo at least fifteen times through, and that's not counting all the times I've reloaded the last checkpoint to play the segment over again. Really awesome.

Fun fact: if you knock out Zsasz with a Batarang and then let him get up, he'll actually come fight you. He uses dual knives and has un-counterable attacks, but has as much health as anyone else. If you flee to the gargoyles, he'll kill the guard.

So clearly he makes a second appearance later in the game. Doubt they'd give him fighting one-liners and fighting animations if he was only there for that one segment.
