What do you think will happen to the newest Batman release? What is the B:AA's fate in your eyes, the reviewers, and mainstream public?

I my opinion, it will fly high with a high replay value for me because by definition, I'm a Batman fanboy. Mainstream will be wondering "Why isn't Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Jack Nicholson, Jim Carrey, and Arnold Schwarzenegger voice actors in this?" And the reviews will be half and half, mainly for being a comic book game.

Note: If my punctuation or anything else is off, I'm sorry, I'm tired and bored... just trying to live through the nightshift.

P.P.S. Be careful if you go to IGN, I just went there and two awesome parts of the game is now ruined to me. I quit reading because of all the unwarned spoilers.

I played the demo and its fucking AWESOME !!!!! I will definitely get this game, and as for the voice actors they brought back the people who voiced the animated series, which is awesome as well

The lowest review it's received so far is 9/10.

I can't wait for it, anyway. Best combat system in a videogame, Batman + villains, gadgets, great voice acting and graphics, etc etc.

Quality stuff.

I played the demo and, while it was a good game, I probably won't be buying it at all.

You realise there was supposedly a deal that you could publish your reviews for the game early if you promised to give it a 90+ score.

Saying that I was really impressed with the demo and those reviews are appropriate.

Demo was really fun, I've played it at least ten times. Graphics are great, gameplay is great, sound is great, and the extras are awesome!

By the way Gameinformer already gave it a 9.5

I've played the demo a dozen times and I am seriously considering getting this game. Though I want to conserve my money for later games and such, Arkham Asylum is staying on my radar for the moment being.

Personally I didn't care for it, but then again I'm not exactly a huge batman or stealth game fan.

The thing I've found amazing about this game is Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammill playing Batman and the Joker respectively, the same voice actors as in the best cartoon ever Batman: The Animated Series from the 90's. I grew up watching that show so when I heard those voices in the trailer it blew my mind.

I want it, the game actually feels like batman and not a spacemarine with ears glued to his helmet

Well I tried the demo today it is was pretty damn fun! The camera is a bit wonky, but it is an overall fun game so I may consider getting it. But looking in the future with MW2, AC2 any many other great games coming out, I am rather torn.

I loved the animated series, and I've had this on pre-order since May (when it was originally supposed to be released). I hope it's going to be as great as it seems, but I heard something about the reviews being a bit of a "Kane & Lynch" deal; that is, only publications promising to give it at least 9 out of ten would receive advance copies. If that's truly the case, the company should be ashamed of themselves - but the reviewers even more so.
I'll not read a single review until I've already tried the game, just in case. Technically, I've already bought it anyway.:p

You see...by your praise of it it makes me want to try the demo out. But, I have seen people rip on it so much aswell.
At 2 GB on 7GB left on my hard drive, and a half hour download...I don't know if it is worth it.

My friend and I used to play Batman Begins obsessively on the PS2, and he tried out the demo on PS3 and said it reminds him of that. If it is like that I need this game. If it isn't...meh.

So...do I try it?

Of course it's worth it. You can always delete the demo if you don't like it. Personally, I loved the demo to bits, and B:AA will probably my first PS3 game I'll buy (together with Resistance 2).
