Co-op would ruin it - for the fact that Bats is more of a solo act than anything else - and there was nothing like stalking Arkham the first game, by my lonesome, a comlink my only connection to the outside world.

Co-op challenges would be cool though, for sure.

And here's hoping the storyline doesn't disappoint either.

No Co-Op! What is it with everyone trying to slide Co-Op in every game?
Because the sooner you add co-op in, the quicker you can push toward multiplayer, and start milking people for DLC money, then start expecting subscription fees.

I am Bobby Kotik and I approve this message.

As long as I get to beat up thugs in dark alleys as batman, I'll be happy :3

It would be pretty sweet if Arkham city had drop in Co-op.

Like if after you rescue catwoman player two can drop in and brawl with you, and when player two is done playing for whatever reason they click a button and catwoman leaps off.

I mean, its kinda her style anyways.

For those saying batman is the more solitary type... Umm Robin, Batgirl? I want them to keep the same dark feel and all but Batman has a long history of having partners. Seeing as batman first came into existence May 1939 and robin became his sidekick a year later in april 1940.

I'll bet that in the game once you rescue Catwoman, she'll be all "I didn't need you to save me", and that's the excuse to have a boss fight with her. I'm calling it now people! When that happens, remember Omega predicted it!
Also, for villians who I'd like to see in this. Not including Two-Face or Joker, it's obvious:
Bane. And do it right this time.
Man-Bat, make an excuse for him not flying out of the city, and why he's there in the first place.
Clayface. Try to find him among the large group of minions, and attack him quickly.
Riddler. He plays a big part, putting riddles hinting at something big, and hints about his location.
Scarecrow. More of the same.
Raj/Talia al-Ghul. Makes no sense for either, so just make an excuse for one or both.
Hush. I just like Hush. Great reason, huh? -_-

You know what? I'm just gonna end up listing Batman's entire rouge gallery, from A-List to the completly unknown, so let's end it here.

Co-op? Isn't one of Batman's legendary lines "I work alone"?
Anyway, I'm hoping that
Scarecrow is the one who grabbed that floating batch of TITAN at the end of the first game. (if that stays canon) Croc on roids? Meh, it'd be the giant fish from RE4, Bane? Redundant. Scarecrow's stuff mixed with juggernaut juice? We'd be in for some fun, I think.

I hope boss encounters are tightened up a bit (pardon the pun) so that they either at least try to fight back, (they always did in the comics, right?) or do what they did with Harley and Scarecrow; Minions, fight, cutscene, win. It'd be better than what they did with Ivy and Croc, I think.

Since he hasn't apparently been mentioned yet, Joker isn't dead.

Yeah I hope there are more villains in this one. I mean, it was all well and good learning about them in the first game but that just kind of made me want to fight them more.

Ra's al Ghul's daughter is in it I believe, which will be interesting as she is a love interest of Batman's isn't she? (Correct me if I am wrong).
Scarecrow should also return because he was bloody freaky.
1: Yes, she actually gave birth to batman's son Damian, the fifth Robin
2: Scarecrow got eaten by Croc in the first game.

Croc however, escaped in the end. Ill bet my twinky we'll see him in the sequel.
Actually, there are three different endings to Batman: AA, though they're all fairly similar.
A case of Titan is shown floating towards the main city, and then a hand belonging to either: Killer Croc, Scarecrow, or Bane bursts out of the water and grabs it.

Seriously though, this looks like a lot of fun, and I will most definitely buy it, rather than just stealing it off a friend for a month because I'd spent most of my money on things like food, water and air electricity.

looks awesome to me, I'm probably going to pre-order it like I did for the first one.

I am hoping for Co-op and being able to play as Robin,Nightwing,Batgirl or Catwoman.

No Batgirl. In Arkham Asylum it seemed that Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke" was part of the lore as Batgirl was in a wheel chair and acting as Oracle from the bat cave.

Mark Hammil stated that Arkham City would be his last role as the clown prince of comedy.
I know :(

After Heath Ledger he's easily the best joker that's ever been, and certainly the one most accurate to the comics. I don't really understand he's stopping though, what else has he got going for him? A Star Wars Christmas special 2?

He does however suggest that the Joker may actually die at the end of the game.

How did Batman let Quincy Sharp become mayor? Oh well, I guess you need a plot device. I just hope it doesn't become to crazy. The beauty of the first game was that the story was kinda comic booky but not ridiculous comic booky.

Exploration games that require stealth don't sound good on paper. Still, I am very excited for this game. I always thought Arkham didn't have enough villains, and of those only the Scarecrow was unique in his boss fights.

Also, who the hell would put Hugo Strange in charge of an insane asylum that's next to a populous city? He's already known in the Batman canon to be more than a little evil. That's almost as stupid as making the Green Goblin leader of a group of super he-OH WAIT!

Hamil beats Heath. Hamil is the only voice I hear when I imagine the Joker, Heath was a great addition to The Joker legacy, but Hamil IS The Joker.

Wait, what about that whole episode with Quincy and the

Spirit of Arkham?

I mean, I thought that meant he was disappearing, or something.

Aren't Nightwing and Robin the same person, but Nightwing is just older?
Also, I really doubt they'll bring Robin in.

If she's in the single player, she'd better be usefull. (Ya know, Less Haley Berry and more Eartha Kitt).
I don't mind a co-op but apparently I'm in the minority there.
I wouldn't mind it eithert if they do it like Uncharted2 Resistance2 and Portal2 where the story is single player but has a Co-op series as well (mayber it's a sequal thing?)

I'd guess Selena would be like an assistant from time to time say after you free her maybe Joker locks you up in a death trap and you have to bait Harley outside so Catwoman can free you without them being aware right away or so she can get the drop on them or selective switching would be fine with me.
