I think it would be good if you got to play as Catwoman (if they did her sections right, taking advantage of her unique abilities and proclivities)

I don't think co-op would be a good idea, unless they had some sort of co-op brawl mode where you got to fight off hordes of thugs with her.

I don't like co-op modes in general, I don't have enough friends.

looks awesome to me, I'm probably going to pre-order it like I did for the first one.

I am hoping for Co-op and being able to play as Robin,Nightwing,Batgirl or Catwoman.
Aren't Nightwing and Robin the same person, but Nightwing is just older?
Also, I really doubt they'll bring Robin in.
There have been like 2-3 different people as Robin in any series of Batman one of the Robins however grows up and decides to go Solo and get a new custome and call him self Nightwing and later on Bruce finds another Boy Wonder.

No Batgirl. In Arkham Asylum it seemed that Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke" was part of the lore as Batgirl was in a wheel chair and acting as Oracle from the bat cave.

I'm both excited and saddened.

Mark Hammil stated that Arkham City would be his last role as the clown prince of comedy.
I know :(

After Heath Ledger he's easily the best joker that's ever been, and certainly the one most accurate to the comics. I don't really understand he's stopping though, what else has he got going for him? A Star Wars Christmas special 2?

He does however suggest that the Joker may actually die at the end of the game.
Could be Cassandra Cain. Which would be awesome in so many ways I couldn't begin to describe it, partly because the existence of both Nightwing and Robin would suggest that Tim Drake was Robin, who is my favourite (I know it's all speculation, but I would so want this.)

Better than Heath, he is the voice of the Joker, no exceptions. The Joker will never die though, he has a whole page named after him on TV Tropes specifically because he never dies. He was recently shot through the head in the comic books and still survived.

So while I was in Gamestop yesterday, I noticed that Game Informer had information about Batman Arkham 2. Indeed it looks awesome.

The story is that Quincy Sharp has become mayor of Gotham one year after the first game. Mayor Sharp purchases a large amount of Gotham's slums, makes a perimeter around it, and releases all of the city's criminals in it in order to make a new asylum. Manning mercenaries on the walls, and placing Hugo Strange in charge of the newly dubbed Arkham City, Sharp places one rule on all the criminals: don't try to escape.

Two-Face wishes to gain power in the city, and plans to publicly execute Catwoman. Batman, given his past with Catwoman, and itching to get into the city to investigate Hugo Strange's mysterious plans, enters.

With Catwoman in the game, it would make sense if the sequel had co-op. That would be awesome.

What do you think?
I don't think so. I can't see Catwomen using anything else except her wip and it wouldn't hold a candle to the gadgets batman has in the first one. That mean, one character will br terribly underpowered. What would be good instead would be chapter where you play as Catwomen to progress in the story.

Co-op? Isn't one of Batman's legendary lines "I work alone"?

Scarecrow is the one who grabbed that floating batch of TITAN at the end of the first game. (if that stays canon) Croc on roids? Meh, it'd be the giant fish from RE4, Bane? Redundant. Scarecrow's stuff mixed with juggernaut juice? We'd be in for some fun, I think.
Isn't one of Batman's legendary lines "I work alone"?

Robin,Nightwing,Batgirl,(On Occasion working with Catwoman)& not to mention any one time member of the Justice League.

about Scarecrow though the ending after the credits was random It switches between Scarecrow,Killer Croc and Bane all grabbing a Crate marked "Titan".

This game looks really good.
I think co-op could work well in this game. As long as it had some kind of mechanic to let you know what your team mate was up to. It would be brilliant to be able to coordinate with a team mate to take out all of the enemies in one shot.

The only concern i have is that i do not want an A.I. partner.*shudder*

I'll bet that in the game once you rescue Catwoman, she'll be all "I didn't need you to save me", and that's the excuse to have a boss fight with her. I'm calling it now people! When that happens, remember Omega predicted it!
Also, for villians who I'd like to see in this. Not including Two-Face or Joker, it's obvious:
Bane. And do it right this time.
Man-Bat, make an excuse for him not flying out of the city, and why he's there in the first place.
Clayface. Try to find him among the large group of minions, and attack him quickly.
Riddler. He plays a big part, putting riddles hinting at something big, and hints about his location.
Scarecrow. More of the same.
Raj/Talia al-Ghul. Makes no sense for either, so just make an excuse for one or both.
Hush. I just like Hush. Great reason, huh? -_-

You know what? I'm just gonna end up listing Batman's entire rouge gallery, from A-List to the completly unknown, so let's end it here.
I reckon they should just try and cram as many of the decent villains as they can without ruining it! :D

I mean co-op would be nice, but I would prefer a "lone wolf" type of game.
