Guys, try listening to Pink Floyd's Pulse while playing.
It's mindblowing.

Yeah, Origins is really terrible too. I really am contemplating just forgetting about using it and waiting for them to make a compromise with Steam. If not, I just won't play anymore EA games, which sucks cause I miss out on Mass Effect 3.ph0b0s123 said:It's taking a huge amount of will power, but I am not playing as then I would have to use the spyware loaded piece of rubbish that is Origin.
So Battlefield 3 is the battle of will power for me.
No, it was really getting bothersome after I unlocked sprint. I figured because I hadn't unlocked it (they had it in BC2), that was the reason. It actually seem to get worse after I unlocked sprint and played more.JoesshittyOs said:I thought that too, but you have to actually unlock unlimited sprint for some reason.PeePantz said:The controls have been pretty unresponsive. You unlock lightweight gear, dunno why they are calling it sprint.JoesshittyOs said:I thought that too, but you have to actually unlock unlimited sprint for some reason.PeePantz said:The controls have been pretty unresponsive. Not by snipers, but by umps. One shot, one kill. I think my k-d ratio was about 2-11 and 3-12 for the first couple of games. However, once I started to rank up, it got a lot better and soon my k-d ratio was between 2:1 and 3:1. It seems like they may have tied health into rank which I'm not a fan of.
Problem is even if you are able to purchase on Steam in the future, I still think you will be stuck with Origin being needed. The same way steamworks is needed no mater where you purchase your Valve game...Clive Howlitzer said:Yeah, Origins is really terrible too. So true. I guess I can only wait and hope it gets better. Steamworks was pretty bad when it first came out. It took a long time to work out all the kinks.ph0b0s123 said:Problem is even if you are able to purchase on Steam in the future, I still think you will be stuck with Origin being needed. i already crackedSmashLovesTitanQuest said:Im fucking dying here. It looks so damn good but I just cant install Origin and agree to those terms and conditions, just cant....
But im cracking. My determination is crumbling. With each and every minute, I am closer to giving up. I want to play the fucking Battlefield 3 beta so fucking bad.
FUCK. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME EA, I HATE YOU!!!
It's selectable, and can be used to cut people, yes.Cowabungaa said:Is it also true that you have to select the knife as any other weapon? Just like in the olden days? Because I got that idea from another gameplay video. If it's true, then huzzah!
Yeap, it ain't perfect, but that does sound like a very good middle ground indeed.CCountZero said:snip
Actually, there's three routes into each area.jakko12345 said:The Beta so far is great, but the map is kinda sucky. It's virtually impossible to win as the attackers because the latter section consists of 2 main routes which are always pinned by snipers
If you draw it first and walk around with it, you don't have to wait to draw it, and you don't make that little 'shink' noise before you can hit them.Cowabungaa said:In the meantime, I'll just wait for Origin to stop spazzing out so I can download the beta on the PC. Already downloading the PS3 version, but I care fairly little about that.
Doesn't run on XP? sadface. Guess I'll not bother with the pre-order then. I'll wait until I actually get around to installing windows7. Looks pretty fun tho, seems more like "Bad Company 3", but I got no problem with that.TacticalAssassin1 said:...[sub]I'd share my thoughts but I'm still running WinXP and thus can't play BF3. I'm upgrading my computer next week though, so hopefully I'll be able to play before the beta ends[/sub]...
I understand that if you don't want them to have any information at all you shouldn't use the software. However, I'd also recommend you uninstall your OS too.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:1. I have to agree to give away all my personal info to EA by installing Origin
You know they changed the EULA, right?SmashLovesTitanQuest said:What? You said I have nothing to hide, I imagine you dont either, so why dont you do the same?
Edit: nevermind, someone else got there first.Escapist said:According to the current agreement, "EA would never sell your personally identifiable information to anyone, nor would it ever use spyware or install spyware on users' machines. We and agents acting on our behalf do not share information that personally identifies you without your consent, except in rare instances where disclosure is required by law or to enforce EA's legal rights."
While the wording on collecting information about a user's computer, operating system, software, and software usage remains mostly intact, another clause from the agreement no longer appears. That now-omitted line originally stated, "EA may also use this information combined with personal information for marketing purposes and to improve our products and services. We may also share that data with our third party service providers in a form that does not personally identify you." In fact, the new EULA makes no mention of marketing at all.
The third section in the EULA, "Application communications and conduct/privacy settings," has also changed considerably. It no longer includes wording that "EA reserves the right to monitor communications on the Application and disclose any information EA deems necessary," nor does it specify that if users don't agree to EA's collection, they shouldn't install the application.
