It was bound to happen. I made a Super Star Destroyer.
3 Turbolaser arrays (GatBeams)
2 Laser Cannon Arrays (GatPulse)
4 Concussion Missle Launchers (missle launchers)
4 Deflector Arrays
3 Tractor Beam Arrays (Impeder)
1 Superlaser Cannon (MegaBeam)
2 Point Lasers (point beams) *not pictured, I added those later when it became apparent the Mon Calamari was kicking the Star Destroyers ass*
All the weapons are mounted to point to the fore of the ship with 45 degree firing arcs, making it's area of fire very linear, but it possesses a wide array of medium to long weapons (and even some short range with the GatPulse's)
3 speed
.75 turning
500 range
.05 accel
Of course, what could go against such a beast? Why a Mon Calamari Cruiser of course!
6 Turbolasers (gatbeams)
4 laser cannons (gatpulse)
2 Laser Cannons (Beamer)
6 Deflector Arrays
3 Point Lasers (point beams)
2 Tractor Beam arrays (impeder)
Unlike the Star Destroyer, the Mon Calamari Cruiser is a broadside vessel- all of it's guns with the exception of the fore and aft beamers are pointed out to the sides and have 90 Degree firing arcs. It's tremendous defensive ability with the point beams, impeder's, and 6 deflectors makes it viable for busting enemy formations by flying straight in and soaking fire.

I tested the two out in the sandbox and they more or less slugged it out without any clear winner, though the Star Destroyer started to take a beating. The Calamari Cruiser turned out to be capable of slugging it out with 3 Star Destroyers at once. At four or five, the amount of firepower put out was simply too overwhelming.
