NONONO Please the last movie was at least a step in the right direction Don't do this...
ALL I WANT is my gritty, hardcore turtles back. I don't want to go and see
"April- The movie; also some turtles fighting things and explosions"
Bet he brings Milo back.

When he isn't gallivanting with Victoria's Secret models to cast the upcoming movie, he's producing remakes of horror films, such as April's A Nightmare on Elm Street. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a new kind of reboot project for Bay's company, seeing as how it probably won't involve horrific murder.
Yes, it will. It's gonna murder what little respect I had left for Michael Bay and his sidekick Megan Fox, and it's gonna horrendously murder my childhood memories of TMNT.

What will he go after next?

*sigh*

So, I suppose it's going to have Bay & Cronies-style frat-boy humor, be completely unwatchable*, have a bunch of characters no one gives a shit about, and give the turtles flame decals and spoilers on their shells? Oh well, at least there's still the original movie.

*(I say this because both Bad Boys movies, Armageddon, and the trailers for both Transformers movies made me bleed from the eyes and suffer nausea, something that all the shaky-cam movies like Cloverfield, Blair Witch Project, and The Hurt Locker combined couldn't do. That, and the only one of those that wasn't thunderously dull was the first Bad Boys)

Damn you. Just damn you. He's set up an entire company to more efficiently screw over beloved franchises, and we just sit back and pay him money. It must stop.

Also I recently found out I wasn't imagining things and TMNT was called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.

I'm a HUGE TMNT fan and, to be honest?
I don't mind. The Turtles have never been about developed stories, deep characters or any real quality that makes a "good movie". The Turtles have always been, to me, about bad jokes, bad jokes about ninjas, bad jokes about turtles, and some okay action. Michael Bay makes entertaining films. I LOVED Bad Boys I&II, because they were entertaining. They were stupid, they weren't all that funny, but man were they entertaining as hell to watch. That's what I want out of a Turtles movie, that's what I can expect with Bay. Hell, I don't even not mind:
I'm excited.

Why are you all saying this will be the worst thing ever

Bay makes action films. He makes good ACTION films. If you want a film with story and plot go somewhere else but i'm getting tired of everyone who thinks its alright to hate on anything bay does. He's good at what he does. If you don't like it don't pay to see it.

Pretty much

You don't HAVE to watch it.

Well, there goes my childhood. First transformers, now TMNT. Thanks Michel Bay. Thanks.

EDIT: TMNT always had plot and decent writing (or at least the jokes where so bad they were funny), and Bay can't do that. He has too small a brain.

I... quite honestly don't care. His version of the Turtles could be the worst thing to have ever happened to cinema history and I'd still be able to sit down and enjoy Turtles in Time on my SNES without a problem.

In fact, I think I'll go and hook up my SNES and do that now.

When I heard Michael Bay was doing Transformers I thought "fine, this is what he does, and Transformers was never all that good anyway". Then he managed to disappoint even then. But I LIKED the Ninja Turtles. He's getting closer and closer to going too far... not that there's anything I can do but not buy a ticket. Which I won't.

Anyway, Michael Bay has yet to ruin Street Sharks, so at least I can relax knowing that.

Great, now he'll have fucked up the two biggest things in my childhood!

This man was created to destroy peoples much loved characters they've known for years, decades even.

Bay makes crap. Good action films are movies like Pitch Black, Hero, Ong-Bak, Ninja Scroll, Aliens, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and A New Hope. Those are good action-packed movies. Bay makes crap and I'll be happy to elaborate on that statement in more depth, but you could probably just go watch the Spoony review of Transformers 2 instead.
