I like the Transformers movies...
That's really all I have to contribute. I remember watching the TMNT cartoons, and I remember enjoying them. Hell, maybe it'll be good.

It's a good thing I'm not a fan of either Transformers or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, because if I was I'd probably slit my wrists now.

Aw come on you guys! How can you expect a serious movie about four mutant turtles in their teenages trained by a rat to become ninjas?

If anything, Michael Bay will make this entertaining.

Michael Bay made giant robots beating the fuck out of each other kinda dull. TWICE. Do not underestimate his ability to invoke suck.

Is it even surprising that there is such a back lash at this point?
Makes me wonder what Nickelodeon were thinking having Bay directing this. Alongside the reception of Bay's directed movies and the Platinum Dunes horror remakes (which he produced) there has been an ever-present critique of "meh" to "just plain bad". In the days of old such directors would find themselves without a job, but I suppose the world is just made up of bad decisions.

Edit:

Can I make a bet on the plot?

a) Something big and evil shows up
b) The military come in and throw fighter jets, rocket launchers and tits at it
c) The turtles solve things behind the scenes and show up about 5% of the movie

And hey, why not cast Megan Fox as April O'Neil?
Uh, ew? That weed-promoting silver-screen wh*re would probably complain that the movie concentrates too much on the turtles, or did we forget about her little issues with "Transformers" concentrating too much on (well who'd've thunk?) THE TRANSFORMERS.

I would rather see M. Night write, direct, and star as all four turtles than see this movie.
