I will definitely pick up this game. The first one was unexpectedly awesome. I saw a friend playing it and thought I'd watch. I thought it'd only take a few minutes before I had to leave so that my eyes wouldn't roll too far into my head. Two hours later I had to pry myself away to go to class. That game looked and played fantastic, and it really ran with the absurd premise. I don't remember it being marketed very well though. My impression of it before seeing it was that it was an oversexed God of War clone and that some of her moves made her naked. I thought it was going to be exploitative garbage. I was so wrong. I borrowed/stole my friend's copy as soon as she wasn't looking.

I actually have a WiiU since I couldn't justify either of the other consoles. I hope it's a successful as one can hope for a WiiU exclusive. I can't wait to see the look on my husband's face. He's never heard of it.

It sealed the deal of a buy when it came was announced it was coming with the first one. I missed out on that but after playing Wonderful 101 going through Beyo 1 + 2 seems like a great idea.

Wow didnt expect so many people to say they were getting it I know its not going to be massive (unfortunately) but im glad people seem to actually care about the game.

I decided to get the deluxe edition because the original one I got for the 360 and my 360 has long since died and I dont want the inferior PS3 version (hopefully the WiiU port is optimised).

Heres hoping its meets higher success in the west than initial (perhaps misguiding) reports in Japan show it has done over there. Also I really want to see the new Fatal Frame localised please bring this to Europe or at least make it region free Nintendo.....I know you read this site constantly for suggestions.

Technically no but I strongly suspect my GF will be getting it for us. She seemed really into the first one, beating it on the PS3 but I haven't gone through it completely. I'm interested but I'm not going to buy it. If I could I would already have bought Hyrule Warriors and, preordered Smash...

That pretty much sums up my sentiments.

I really prefer her new haircut to her old one, and she is also one of the only video game leads with glasses, that's cool too.
I believe her appearance in the first game is available as an alt costume. Dont take my word for it though, i know relatively little.

If you have a WiiU and you like action games...get it.

For the rest of the people lacking a WiiU...just lament it being on the WiiU. I don't think it's worth getting the console just for it, considering that it's most likely the last in the series.

I actually was one of the people hoping for it to be a timed exclusive and going multiplatform later. Cause the "Bayonetta 2 wouldn't be made without Nintendo" and Nintendo publishing it...were not kiss of death to this idea.
The Publishing contract might have had a clause on time. And the industry has a lot of examples of JRPGs being 360 exclusives and then coming out on PS3 to sell better and go like "360 version was like a beta test, so this is the superior version".

I mean, it's still possible that SEGA was grabbed by the balls and signed FULL exclusivity FOREVER, but again, Nintendo did not buy out the IP and apparently Inaba of Platinum once tweeted that it was a timed exclusive or something.

But then the sales. Oh god, the sales. Bayonetta 2 on WiiU in Japan sold WORSE than Bayonetta 1 on 360 (IN JAPAN). And Japan is where most of the WiiUs are. Having Smash 3DS come out close to it, kinda stole its thunder

So even if SEGA can in fact make Bayonetta 2 multiplatform after the exclusivity runs out...with these sales they probably won't. Which is sad, cause apparently Bayo2 fixed a lot of my gripes with Bayo1.

I'm getting the game... and I lack a Wii U... It's basically Catherine all over again in my predicament...

Other than that, at least I got the anime movie to [try to] tie me over until I can get a Wii U for myself...

I wouldn't say it's a launch-day purchase, but that's just because a bunch of other games rank higher on my list of priorities. For when I finally buy a Wii U.

Given that it's a two-fer, I'm definitely going to enjoy it; I never played through the first one. Never even touched it, but I really liked the concept of high-energy combat and fighting with hair. I'm sure I'll buy it at some point in the future, though. It'll probably be during or right after the holiday season.

Same sentiment to a T.
About everything.
Loved the first one even though I just borrowed the first one and had it on auto-combo *turns in hack-n-slash card* but alas, no WiiU, not yet.
While I liked her old haircut, I have a thing for short hair so seeing her with, hm, it's a bit too long to be a pixie cut but whatever it is she's rocking is really getting me.
Trust me, this will be my first game purchase for a WiiU, before Smash, before anything, Bayonetta 2.

I bought a Wii U and a new TV primarily for Bayonetta 2, so you could say I'm just a little hyped. Hell, I was considering importing the First Print Edition just so I could get the two art books despite the fact that I'd also have to buy the game seperately because the First Print Edition's copy of Bayo 2 only works on European consoles.

The Wii U also having several other great games is just a bonus for me.

I'm so torn over this, I'm one of the "absolutely adored the first one but can't decide if a WiiU is worth getting just for it." Exclusive really means exclusive, right? Any hope for it coming out on anything else at all, ever? I played the first one through twice, unlocked nearly everything, and that's a damn rarity for me these days given the time allocated to playing. Maaaaybe, if I could get a super deal on a WiiU, or maybe later down the track if I can get one second hand.

I've actually been noticing a huge influx in the word of mouth online to help this game and Platinum Games in general succeed. So while it probably won't sell big numbers, it'll at least deserve the increase it's going to have over it's first title's total sales.

If Nintendo is too lazy to advertise a game they saved, then it's our job to make sure Platinum senpai notices us!!!

OT: Getting my WiiU next week.

Having only owned the PS3 version of 1 I'm so stoked to finally play a version that runs at something higher than 15fps. And after completing the first, onto climaxing over the second.
I'm ready. Lets go. Come out already please.

Don't have a WiiU, so nope.
Liked the first one, but don't really care enough to bother going out of my way to play another.

Yeah, I've pre-ordered. I bought the Wii U for Nintendo games and this is a nice little sweetener. We all know it won't sell well but I applaud Nintendo for fronting the cash for it. Wish they'd do the same for Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia.

Totally gonna get the 1+2 bundle, since I never really played the first one. Looks cool though!

Wow, I never knew Bayonetta had such a following. I'm on the fence about getting it, as there are a lot of games I'm interesting in that are coming out in the next couple months, and I know I won't have time to play all of them.
