Bayonetta Demo

Just played it... sweet jesus my poor eyes and ears.

I couldn't see what was happening half the time with all of the demented effects and words flying all over the screen. It was like a rainbow exploded on my screen.

The OTT sexuality was more comedic than titillating, though I'm not sure that's what they were intending. What's with her tiny head and protruding crotch?

The combat was pretty fun, and the scenery looked pretty. The music was.. just... painful.

Anyone else played it?

I played it, and I actually quite liked it. Being a hormonal teenager I couldn't care less about the OTT sexuality, and the gameplay was fun and it had pretty graphics.

Rainbow explosion doesn't really bother me, I've always been good at keeping up with whats going on the screen, or ignoring it if I deem it unworthy of my attention.

Also, if you make Bayonetta walk... you get a rather pleasant view ;P

One thing that did annoy me though, is that it had invisible walls... everywhere. At least it was obvious which route to take.

Is the demo for either the pc or ps3? if so then I probably just haven't paid attention to the game for too long, I'll try it tommorow.

I loved it, myself. Button mashing works on lower difficulties, but at higher settings you actually have to know what you're doing; in terms of difficulty, this is really how all games should be.

Yes, there's a lot going on, but everything you do in the game feels pretty awesome. It's supposed to be over-the-top like that; that's just its style. I mean, you have guns on your feet. If you're expecting a fully serious, slow-paced fighting system from that, then you will be sorely let down.

I thought it looked like shit from day one. Same boat as Ninja Gaiden (the new ones) and Devil May Cry. It's too immature. I'm all for goofy humour and exaggerated characters as long as it has proper structure. These games are just Dynasty Warriors except you die a lot and they're loaded with what twelve-year-olds love: Blood, Swearing, and Anime Titties.


I don't care how much people love these things, I have no nostalgia for Devil May Cry 3 or Ninja Gaiden. They were not fun at all and they got really uncomfortable when the already porn-level dialogue was coming out of two Death Stars nailed to an hourglass.

It's been getting rave reviews. Edge gave it 10/10. Then again, who the hell trusts critics these days.

I can see how people would enjoy it, it's just not my kinda thing. I didn't like Devil May Cry so it's not surprising.

She has a wierd ass too.

The demo is actually very good for this sort of thing. It is much better than the Devil May Cry 4 demo and shows that the game will probably be better than God of War.

Oh god, I hate it when reviewers give a game a perfect mark. It litterally means the game is perfect, which is impossible, there will always be better games. (I know I'm taking reviews a little too serious here, but I hate it SO MUCH.) Just give it a 9.5 or something...

I'll probably try it at some point. I've really been put off by the game, probably because the OTT sexuality. It feels like it'd be one of those games that if someone walks into you playing it, you'd be embarrassed.

Personally, I think 10/10 mean that the game has flaws, but they are so insignificant that it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the game.
