Woah, I loved it! The demo to me, was astounding. Sure, the 1st level on the collapsing Big Ben was unforgivably difficult. I couldn't see what was going on. I mean, I lost so much health doing it, and then that health carried over, despite it being a dream sequence. The fuck? The rest of it was a unique experience. I hated Devil May Cry, all of them, and I loved the Bayonetta demo. Partly due to the game letting you BELIEVE you ARE that powerful and that your moves are making the effects happen, rather than in DMC in which the cutscenes lead you to belive that you're an invincible Devil, and then during gameplay you're weaker than a limbless rabbit. Bayonetta seemed 'different' to me, almost 'original', so I'll play it just for the experience. Might just be as lame as all the other DMC games, but at least now I get to stare at a semi-attractive Witch rather than an androginous, arrogant man-girl. I have high hopes for the full game, and am willing to let it rape my ears and eyes with its art style. I also hope that we aren't criticising it for its over-sexualised female, because we're denial if we are. Let me remind you of a cold hard fact about video games. Apart from Alyx Vance and the FEW other noteworthy examples, what female has NOT been represented in a sexual manner? At least it understands what it's doing and KNOWS it's exaggerating. If it isn't yet another FPS/sequel I'm already there buying it. I just hope Bayonetta will be more forgiving than the DMC games.
