Even though I practically eat, sleep and shit gaming and when not playing computer games, it's board games or roleplaying games, my girlfriend is very accepting of it. Probably more than she should be, really, as I tend to spend WAY too much time in front of the screen. I guess her having 100% dominance over whats on the TV helps there
She's not a gamer herself as such, although she would probably be a great one. She plays Professor Layton and Zelda games on our DS, loves Star Wars, sci-fi and fantasy movies, likes to play cooperative boardgames (but she's a sore loser, so not competitive ones) and this weekend I talked her into playing Savage Worlds (roleplaying game) with some of my friends, which was awesome both because she was fucking brilliant despite never having played RPGs before and because she thought it was really fun.
She still thinks we're all huge nerds though and roll her eyes when me and my friends start discussing gaming related when we're out drinking
Its a good thing she accepts it too, cause if it came down to the choice, even though I love her, she'd be getting the boot if she couldn't.
