When Fallout 3 forced you to kill yourself (or Lyons) despite giving you three radiation immune companions (Fawkes, Charon and the robot). Fawkes actually told me suicide was my destiny and he wouldn't interfere with it - despite that he could have prevented anyone from dying with no risk to himself.

What the fuck, Bethesda?
That was a certinaly bad ending for such an amazing game :(

Mirrors ege had the worst story for any game every, it was so predictable and just easy. EA can't make games with plotlines.

Bioshock had a good one.

Arcanum also had a few spectacular ones and a few misses, of course.

Worst? I don't know any...

Bad : FarCry.

I mean, seriously. The enemies you start facing...and what happens...is just, so, dumb.

There should be spoiler brackets on a lot of these. I'm not saying I came in here expecting no spoilers to be here, but its general practice to use them.

I found many of the plot twists in Tales of Symphonia really predictable and generally bad.

My "good" twist is:

When you find out that the colossi were guardians in place to prevent Dormin, who is a giant shadow demon, from escaping

Deus Ex-The first, about half or a third through the game (so many years ago, but I'll never forget that twist)

Deus Ex 2-I thought I was helpping my buddy in the end, but he really was still a part of the Omarr... kind made me go "WTF". And for some reason no ending seemed quiet right to me.
I think the problem with the Dues Ex 2 endings was that none of them felt like they were "good" endings. Either you ended up causing a genocide, forcing the world to convert into a hivemind society, or make sure that the Illuminati maintained control. Even the Dentons "perfect Democracy" goes against what most people consider their morals because it's also a big brother esque monitor system.

The ending of the new Prince of Persia made me shoot blow darts at the box of the game. It was rediculus! You should have been able to choose like in Alone in the Dark!

Best!
Star Ocean 3: Finding out you were in a video game the whole time and the main villains were the ones who operate the company that made it XD

Worst...
"Time Compression" in Final Fantasy 8. That made absolutely no sense on so many levels.

No one's said Mass Effect? That had a great twist! Okay, you could tell there was going to be a twist from a mile off because it's a game by Bioware, but other than that it was cool.

Those remains from the ancient civilisation? Yeah, they were really put there but a race of sentient robots which are apparently as old as the universe, who force evolution to take a certain path just so they can kill all sentient life, again and again. And that big space station which is the galactic capital? That's where they come from another dimension to rape everyone.

Actually, what's with Bioware and epic final battles on Citadel station?

Fallout's was pretty horrid.
KotOR and BioShock are two of my favorite games though, and I thought their plot twists were pretty good, especially KotOR's

Worst: Final Fantasy series. any actually. shit writing doomed it from the start.

Best: Dreamfall: the longest journey when you find out the nemesis all along was your mother, and there is nothing you can do to stop her. Tragic, but brilliant writing.

I saw Planescape: Torment was mentioned. However, my favorite twist was not mentioned.

Ravel. Who she really was. When she unRaveled. When you met her. That entire bit.

I mean, I was truly thinking she was the target, yanno? Then I come out SAD THAT SHE DIES!

Here are a couple from the same game:
Best: Auron joining you in the Underworld in Kingdom Hearts II
Worst: Maleficent being revived in Kingdom Hearts II. If you ACTUALLY FOUGHT HER OR SHE DID ANYTHING, it might've been good. But she didn't, so it wasn't.
