If you entered 'weird' (think that's the code) as your callsign in the original Tyrian your ship became a flying carrot that fired exploding bananas.
The cheat codes for rare animals in Zoo Tycoon. Since the animals couldn't be obtained any other way, they codes couldn't be considered actual cheats, and thus they got rid of the moral outrage of cheating while still being useful.

Star Soldier 64. A and Start at the title screen. It unlocks the best ship, the best weapon and gives you 5 bombs every time you start over.
The first Turok on the N64 (yes crap game) there was cheat to make every disco dance and the was flashing lights. What made cool was made every dance that includes raptors!
