Mirrors Edge. Story was trying to be too many things at once, gameplay was innovative, and definitely a fresh look at the FPS genre.

Is that a...good thing?

No that was the one bad thing about the game.

There's always the fact that it wasn't an fps, it was a First Person Free Running Game or suchlike, it hardly even included guns and didn't really encourage their usage. i.e. trophies for 20 hand to hand kills.

Bioshock. Maybe Fallout 3. Everyone seems to love it but i'm yet to play it. It's sitting on the shelf, screaming play me.

CoD4. Fallout 3 is second. It would be closer, but Fallout 3 doesn't quite nail the "shooting at people outside of VATS" thing on the head.

okay srsly now, I'd say COD4. havent played it for ages cause it was the same old shit repeated with every cod game but now i think i start to miss its awesomness

FC2 isnt bad either but right now i'm in mood for some non stop action

TF2 of course. It is polished, balanced, and very different from other FPSes.

I would say the Half-Life 2 episodes and Bioshock. HL2 because of the great story, physics, and graphics and Bioshock because of the story, plasmids, and awesome setting (even though the shooting element wasn't that great).

I have now started. I haven't done anything else for about 3 weeks. So addictive. Let's find those Bobbleheads. Anyway - back to the Wasteland.
