my personal belief is, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time
That was the best! then probably -
2)Golden Eye 007 or Perfect Dark
3)Mario 64 or Smash Bros
4)Majora's Mask
5)Mario Kart

Damn, I miss those days.

Majora's Mask & Super Mario 64 was the best.
(I don't have Goldeneye or OoT)

I'm gonna be real original here and say OOT. Aren't I awesome?
I think I'm going to join this revolution of originality, I loved that game too much to go for anything else.

Yeah, not many games let you shoot through walls.
Red Faction II did, but it just wasn't the same... :(
And slayer rockets to control, well, UT did that, but again, it just wasn't the same.

Anyway, Perfect Dark is there, Starfox 64 is there, OoT is there, obviously, SSB is there, I don't know, I loved a lot of N64 games, but there were plenty of terrible ones too (body harvest, armorines, etc.)

I'd probably go with Perfect Dark if I had to pick "best n64 game for me" and OoT if it was "best n64 game overall"

Yep, I didn't say Super Mario 64 so shoot me.

My heart is torn between Perfect Dark, Lylat Wars, Ocarina of Time and Fifa 99 for so many different reasons, all absolutely fantastic in ther own ways...

Either Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. My mum worked for a video game mail order company for a while so I have...*checks*...oh wow, 64 games! But if I had to choose two it would definitely be these. Goldeneye came with my console (Golden pad ftw!) and I see Perfect Dark as Goldeneye : Championship Edition.

on the N64 itself, or just its generation? Because if its the latter, I vote for Grandia on the PS1/Saturn.

The former...umm...you know what, I've never owned a single Nintendo home console, and don't really think I would want to. I like the Zelda games just fine, having never played any 3D one except Wind Waker, which was okay...But I just hated every Mario game, including his shitty cart racers. But Oracle of Seasons was fun. As for best N64 game, I'm not qualified.

I think I got the most enjoyment out of Perfect Dark. The multiplayer kicked the shit out of Goldeneye.

As far as single-player, I guess Ocarina of Time. I waited many long years to play another Zelda game. It was very fun, but I had to cringe at the increasing level of cuteness which only got worse in Majora's Mask. When they announced they would change Link into a prancing little sailor-boy in the next games, I swore off Nintendo and have still yet to purchase any of their systems or games.

I remember when Link was a badass teenage/young adult elf who beat some ass and save the princess and Hyrule. That was awesome. I don't know about you guys, but when I was a kid, the LAST thing I wanted to be...was a kid.

For single player Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time and for multiplayer a tie between Goldeneye and Perfect Dark

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (You gotta admit, back during that time, it was breath-taking to step out of the forest into the large Hyrule field.)
007 Goldeneye. Marvelous
and for my favorite FPS of ALL time: Perfect Dark. Soooooooo much better than Halo. *sniffle* I wish I still had good thumbsticks for my N64...

It's a tie for me between Starfox 64 and Super Smash Bros. Two of the best games I've ever played in my life and I still play them from time to time.

Perfect Dark.
Once you got everything unlocked, marvelous party game.
It is even better than...Halo.
Farsight....cheapest...gun...ever.

Toss up between that and Goldeneye for my favorite. Countless summer nights of marathon 4 player deathmatches with friends.
