Blast Corps.
Agreed! Sure, it was fun saving the princess, saving the kingdom, saving the planet, shooting Russian soldiers or enemy corporate agents, and even just hanggliding or parachuting (and there REALLY needs to be a remake of Pilotwings), but, c'mon... Blast Corps let you KNOCK DOWN ENTIRE CITIES. With a DUMP TRUCK. Who hasn't fantasized about something like that?!

Perfect Dark!

007: Goldeneye showed us the door. Perfect Dark opened it. :)
If I could have Goldeneye one player and Perfect Dark multiplayer I would have my ultimate game.
EDIT: N64 game.
Actually in ultimate game I'd want a Timesplitters 2/Future Perfect multiplayer add on. Gotta have Thief mode and those maps. Classic.

I'd probably have Perfect Dark by choice as the sims are genius and the weapons are varied and fun.

That's hard to say, but it was probably made by Rare.
So true. Late 90's to Millennium Rare ruled the roost.

I would say Conker's Bad Fur Day. A children game gone adult? And Rare successfully pulled it off. Multiplayer was even more amusing.

It has got to be a Mario game... but which one?

I'd have to say either Super Mario 64 for its actual involvement of THINKING, Mario Kart for, you know, being a racing game where you can throw exploding turtle shells at your friends, or Mario Party - possibly the best multiplayer party games.

Yea. Based on the seven sequels, I would have to say Mario Party. It started a super-franchise and it has now become a tradition in my family to play Mario Party when my sister returns from college on a bi-weekly basis.

Ocarina of Time no contest but aside from that there's:

Goldeneye
Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Tooie
Mario Kart 64
Majora's Mask
Super Mario 64

that's only scratching the surface, there are too many to even count, too many to even remember right now... without a doubt the N64 era wasn't just Nintendo's peak of developing but Rare's as well.

Holy crap. Impossible for me to name just one. I apologize in advance. I think Star Fox 64, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: OoT, Goldeneye, Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart were the shit. Still play all of those often. Btw, those were listed in no particular order, as they are all tied for first in my book.

Man, the N64 was great all around. The PS1 had a nicer selection of 1-player games, but the list of good 4-player N64 games goes on and on. Tetris, Gauntlet, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Conker's Bad Fur Day and Perfect Dark immediately come to mind.
There were also some good single player games. Perfect Dark again, Paper Mario and Star Fox were awesome. Everyone loves Zelda but I didn't.

I can't decide between Zelda: OOT, original SSB, Mario 64, Kirby 64, Banjo-Kazooie (& Tooie), Goldeneye, & Perfect Dark.
Another amazing classic for the time I spent on it was Donkey Kong 64 - I wish there had been a sequel.
