Eternal Sonata has a pretty epic soundtrack, at least the best JRPG soundtrack I've heard. Next I'd have to rate Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Wild Arms 1 and 2 both have very cool soundtracks, as well as a game on the PS1 called Alundra.

But my personal favourite is Snake Eater from MGS 3

Best OST- Halo 3 ODST.
ODST was kind of average as a game, but it's main theme was unbelievable.

Best song in a game- Flashing Lights, in GTA 4.
The song itself it pretty good, but the way it fits in with the gritty atmosphere of GTA 4 is phenomenal.

For me, nothing beats the old Mechwarrior 2 OST. The entire track kicks ass, used to pop the game right into a CD player back in the day.
