I work at a classic video games store, so I get some good discounts but even not counting the discounts, I've gotten some good deals. In fact, just recently, I got Sonic Spinball for my Sega Genesis in its original box, with the booklet and it perfect condition for $5.00 ($2.00 after my discout). A great price for a game I loved to play years ago and still enjoy today.

Another great deal was getting my DSi from Game Crazy (part of Hollywood Video) for $90 less than the regular $169 price by trading in my DS Lite. Better deal than what Game Stop had.

When I first moved to Australia I went to an EB games. They were having a sale to get rid of Playstation One games. They were already cheap, like 3 for $10 or something. I found a Super Puzzle Fighter 2 turbo that was marked $0.00. So I found 3 other games and went up to buy them. The person freaked and got the manager. He said "Oh, well that's what it is marked." and gave it to me for FREE.

CoD4: 30+ days play time for 40 bucks.
Warcraft 3 battle Chest: 50+ days play time for 30 bucks.
Halo 2: 50+ days play time for 50 bucks.

I make sure any game I buy is going to last me at least a year of play time before it gets stale. I honestly would still be playing (and loving) Halo 2 if CoD4 hadn't come out.

Hm. As gameplay/euro, I would have to say Fallout 3. 49 euros, and 300 hours played. That goes well over my 0.5 hours/euro requirement.

But for most fun, I would have to say Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead. When I was 13-ish, I played that game for hours upon hours online. Imagine the bills when we only had a dial-up connection...

I purchased "Sly Copper" for $5. What is that to you Americans? $3? Or for English? 2 pounds?

I would have to say Call of Duty: Warchest for $30. It includes Call of Duty, United Offensive and Call of Duty 2 in one pack. I play CoD2 at least a match a day.

If I had to pick a single game then probably Battlefield 1942. Played it none stop for a year and still enjoy it. Other notables would be CoD2 (but I added it up top in the pack), CoD4: Modern Warfare (X360) and GTA: Vice City (PC).

The Half Life: Generation box. It had the original Half Life, Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Counter Strike in it, which I lost many, many hours to.

for 6 euros including shipping.

RTSes can be such terrible clickfests, but this game is not. The graphics are a little dated, but gameplay wise this game is head and shoulders above the rest.

I bought a friend TF2 for £8 from Steam. He just whored the achievements and hasn't touched it since. Tut tut. He did pay me back though.

I will have to agree with the many people that have said the orange box... i have played through all those games multiple times and still love every single minute of each! :D

but the one that is the best price - time spent ratio is definitely perfect dark on the N64. i think in total i must of spent 5x more hours in that game than any other. sounds ridiculous but since its release me and a couple of my mates still play it every time we have a game session, for a good few hours each time.
Great fun just fr coming up with crazy matches, having big face off battles or just the amazing fun when you get a good combination of weapons in the custom sets. i think we have around 3 memory cards with saved match set-ups. just such a great game and i will play it until my N64 dies and i can't replace it!

paying 7.99 for Jade Empire or the 14 bucks I dropped for Tales of Symphonia, got around 70-80 hours out of that game. Also mention the 60 bucks I spent on Tales of Vesperia when it first came out, that got me around 150-170 hours of play with 2 playthroughs.Around 76 for one playthrough
