My pick would have to be Freedom Fighters.

fantastic mention.

that game stayed on my HDs for three years (long after i'd beaten it) simply because of the fantastic score. very moody and slick.

Agreed. It was also my call of duty music whenever I played it back in the day. I wonder what Jesper Kyd is working on now? I would love to hear it.

Sue me.
(Don't, I'm poor.)
Morrowind had a great score, too. But most games can't go wrong with some nice orchestral scores. But my favorite score is "Grandia 1" for the Saturn/PS1. (especially its main theme!)

I don't know about overall soundtrack love, but the song I love hearing is actually from RE4, when you get to the canyon... and those war drums start playing.

God that was fuel to the fire.

For me it's between Jet Set Radio Future on the Xbox and Iridium 3D on the GBA. Surprised no-one else has mentioned Jet Set Radio... (correct me if I missed the post)

morrowind's score worked much better with me than oblivion.

i think its the whole setting. oblivion's score was pretty straight up "classical fantasy", yaknow?

morrowind's score was able to be a lot weirder and darker. (like how morrowind's graphics were weirder, darker and a lot more inventive / creative than oblivion's...)

Donkey Kong Country 2, Final Fantasy VII & X, the Banjo-Kazooie series, Kirby Superstar, and even though I'm not really into the series that much Halo has an above average soundtrack.

Never played it, but I'll probably look it up.
You can never have enough music.
True. And no music is bad across the board, because everyone has different tastes.

I found the music from the Halo series to be incredible, despite loathing the actual game. Also, the music from guitar hero, I mean people must like the music from it...

I agree with the first part, although I actually think the Halo series were pretty good (this is coming from a diehard PC Gamer here). I especially love the Gregorian Chant style music on the menu.

Oh yes, and the Morrwind/Oblivion soundtracks (they were almost identical).
