Meh, I don't really see much of that. I don't know if I'm lucky or what, but there just doesn't seem to be any of that around.Flying-Emu said:As well as one of the most retard-saturated communities in cyberspace.Crazzee said:DDO is a good choice. Maybe our definitions are different.Crazzee said:Meh, I don't really see much of that. I get frustrated with that too, but everyone in the areas I generally hang around seem to be knowledgeable enough, or at least act like it.Flying-Emu said:Maybe our definitions are different.Crazzee said:Meh, I don't really see much of that. I just get very frustrated with people who don't know the slightest thing about the source material of an MMO. Especially when people are asking why clerics are wearing armour in Stormreach.
... /sigh.
That game is the grindiest grindy grind festival in the history of grinding.Azraellod said:I quite like AQWorlds. It's free unless you decide to upgrade, which while beneficial, is entirely optional.
It functions entirely on flash player on a browser. There are no downloads needed.
The community is reasonable, as long as you avoid some of the worse conversations that take place in yulgar (generally they are ok, but there are some really bad ones).
The major problem is probably the graphics, which are often off putting to a lot of players. They appear somewhat childish.
Still, it is updated weekly, it has a friendly programming team, and it can be free for as long as you need it to be.
If at all you decide to give WoW another try I'll gladly help you out on my realm...provided you're British of course.UnkeptBiscuit said:Alright, so I've been thinking about trying out an MMO. Any will do, as long as it's good. There are a few limitations though:
1.) It has to be Mac OS X 10.5 compatible. I'm not gonna buy a gaming computer when my MacBook works perfectly and I play most of my games on my Xbox.
2.) The community has to be good. I don't want to constantly be reminded that I'm a noob when I've already established that fact.
3.) This one isn't really necessary, but I'd like to have someone be able to guide me through at least the first few levels. Playing the World of Warcraft 10-day trial was a pain trying to wrap my mind around all these alien concepts. No one was willing to explain anything to me.
EDIT: 4.) I'd like a free trial before I start feeding the game my money.
Any suggestions?
