My fiance got me my Xbox 360- but he couldn't just give it me. Nooo, he had to make it a project!
He gets a 4-foot tall box from the store he worked at the time, and fills it with bubblewrap. I get it on Christmas, open it up, and right at the top is a wrapped present- the 360 box. I look at him and say, "is this for real, or is there a rock in here?" It was 2 rocks, actually- the 360 and its conponents were seperately wrapped and scattered in this massive box. I had to spend a good 30 minutes digging for everything, right down to the individually wrapped batteries for the controller. He also wrapped a second controller- specifically, my controller, that I'd bought a few months prior to play Halo with him. Oh yes- my birthday is in January- guess what my brithday present was that year? The power cord for the 360. (He let me have it early.)
I should mention that I was saving for a PS3 at the time, and had 7 systems hooked up to my TV as it was... I was utterly unprepared for a 360. Took a week just to find room for it.
