I don't remember how the whole monologue went exactly, but John the Savage in Brave New World makes a lengthy complaint to Mustapha Mond about how humanity has been lulled into the comformism of a randomly-generated caste system, and he demands the right to misery and all the negative drawbacks of humanity that has been artificially erased from society. Mond just shrugs and says "You're welcome". Which goes to show that as long as we can get frustrated and restless with our reality, we're still human.
