Cool, I figure it's about time for some change. I'm sure Bethesda will keep full mod support as well, I mean half their fan base is modders.
Well of course it will run on consoles, but the problem with that is that you can't get any mods for it. You can only do that with the PC version, unless they somehow change that, which I seriously doubt.HK_01 said:If it runs on current-gen consoles (which it will), there's no need to worry.KingGolem said:As positive as they're making that sound, I'm not convinced this is good news. They did much the same type of "upgrade" from Morrowind to Oblivion and in the process cut out plenty of weapon types and, though I'm not sure, it seems that Oblivion had far less enemy types. If they're making a whole new engine, I fear what else they'll cut out. This also means I have even less chance of getting a PC version, since their new graphics will no doubt require a computer somewhere in the deity level of power. Ah, I'm still excited for it, and I'm still gonna get it, I'm just mighty suspicious of this new engine they're propping up.
Out of interest, did you play Oblivion when it first came out, or later on?Les Awesome said:meh, I actually kinda hated oblivions dated graphics
Either later on or very unreasonable expectations .Logan Westbrook said:Out of interest, did you play Oblivion when it first came out, or later on?Les Awesome said:meh, I actually kinda hated oblivions dated graphics
I meant that if consoles can run it, a gaming PC can run it without a problem, probably even in much higher details. A modern gaming PC is much more powerful than any console.KingGolem said:Well of course it will run on consoles, but the problem with that is that you can't get any mods for it. Ah now, that's going a bit far. The rubbishy character models don't invalidate the great freeform gameplay.WanderFreak said:Quality?
Ah well, there you go. When it first came out, which was in 2006, the graphics looked pretty special.Les Awesome said:yeh in 2009 with the game of the year edLogan Westbrook said:Out of interest, did you play Oblivion when it first came out, or later on?Les Awesome said:meh, I actually kinda hated oblivions dated graphics
don't get me wrong, it was damn good
As if you didn't already know that from the fact that IT"S FUCKING ELDER SCROLLS 5!Andronicus said:I predict that this game shall be awesome.
Elder Scrolls never hit the Uncanny Valley. Trust me, Uncanny Valley human faces are much more realistic than Oblivion.Timeslament said:BY THE NINE! Finally, srsly!
Hopefully Skyrim can clime TES out of the uncanny valley!
You can get mods for consols, you just need an Xport360. A little more difficult, but you can mod it.KingGolem said:Well of course it will run on consoles, but the problem with that is that you can't get any mods for it.
