Bethesda reveals Skyrim Dark elf

it look like to morrowind dark elf
still pretty cool though but im not play one now.

I was reffering to that one elf guy. He doesn't look dark at all when you compare him to other renditions of dark elves in fiction. I'm not saying he CANNOT LOOK ANY MORE DARK because that would just be stupid.

And this is a bad thing how, exactly? Not all Dark Elves have to be S&M loving super-goths ala the Warhammer Dark Elves. That wouldn't fit with the TES style anyway.

So according to you, what kind of Dark Elves would fit with TES? Because I think this semi-Asian, more warlike and wild look is perfect for TES.

He should probably look like a goddamn elf. You know, fair-skinned, noble, slick facial features. I know Bethesda has this thing where all faces ever imagined are ugly as all hell, but I can't be happy just because it doesn't look as horrible as Morrowind or Oblivion.

Are we still talking about Dark Elves here? Because you're describing High Elves. Dark Elfs wouldn't really be a good contrast against High Elves if they'd look the same hm?

But yeah, the face looks like it's had a lot of Asian influence in it's design. I wonder if that has translated over to the other two Elf races?

I don't presume to know the almighty lore of the Elder Scrolls, but talking in general Dark Elves are High Elves with a different skin tone. That's all.
This does not change the fact that it still looks like utter shite to me. Yes, some people don't like a certain game's art style. What a shocker.

The Dunmer and Altmer are completely different races. The Altmer (High Elves) are tall, golden skinned, more effeminate elven race hailing from Summerset Isle. The Dunmer (Dark Elves) are short, with a tighter physique and bear ashen skin and red eyes. After the similar faces that every race had in Oblivion it's nice to see Bethesda bringing diversity back to their races, especially the elven.

I don't understand why everyone thinks the Dunmer in Oblivion looked horrible. I quite liked their look and I rolled a Dunmer first time, I loved it.

OT: I'm not quite sure what to think of this though, its not terrible... its just something seems wrong...

That's god damn fugly... and it looks nothing like Dumner of the past. Every race has looked the same in each TES game (except Argonians), and its odd that they are deciding to change it. I don't think I would have known it was a Dumner without the caption. Oh well, I am glad I realized that Skyrim is going to be a disappointing overhpyed piece of crap only worthwhile because of the modding community (just look at Oblivion and FO3... pattern recognition), thus stopped caring about it in the slightest.
