Actually, I feel that an announcement to release ahead of schedule is a fantastic sign. When they say they'll release ahead of schedule, it's rarely because investors demand it, it's because the actual developers feel that their game is going to be ready, and that their game is looking to be in great shape on release.Skopintsev said:am I the only one a little worried they aren't taking that "extra time" to iron out some bugs and game breaking issues? This is game development, no product is perfect when released.
I know right? Well I'm not complaining about this, considering how bad I want Brink. Bring in on!LogicNProportion said:Awwwwwwwwwwwww fuck.

Oddly enough, haven't heard much hype about this game. Strange.
Ah but DNF is arguably in the same category of gaming as Brink whereas LA:N and W2 certainly are not. I would not write off the Duke either. I will also be snagging the Witcher 2 at launch.Woodsey said:I don't see it personally - The Witcher 2 and LA Noire are much bigger heavy-hitters than DNF. I imagine its a combination of wanting to avoid them, and they genuinely have wrapped up early anyway.Sartan0 said:To some extent maybe. I think it is more that they were releasing it at the original date to avoid Duke Nukem and now that the Duke is delayed they are moving it up a week.Woodsey said:Likely to steer clear of LA Noire and The Witcher 2, I imagine.
Incidentally it makes perfect sense to me that the console exclusive LA Noire and the PC exclusive Witcher 2 are coming out on the same day. Now I just wish both awesome games were not exclusives.
And I agree, it does make good sense. I'll be buying The Witcher 2 first though I think, to show support for PC exclusives.
