C'mon guys, making fun of teenage girls for swarming on the 'next big thing' is like making fun of soccer players for using their feet.

I don't like him either but he's only doing what his marketing team tell him. I think the comparison to The Beatles is closer than it looks. How many music snobs back then wrote them off? Now I'm not saying Justin Beaver is anything like the Beatles (I'm still going to get crucified for this..) but give the guy a break. He's writing tunes, the kids are liking it and you don't have to listen to it.

Live and let live.

EDIT:

I took music in college. I learned about it. I learned how it write it, pull it apart, put it back together in another way, and play it. I'm wondering now why the Hell I bothered.

Never underestimate the raw power of the fangirl. Still, bit of a disappointment for them, they caused the cancellation! Har.

Apparently liking Justin Bieber causes your brain to try and kill itself by depriving itself of water and food.
Phew, lucky we aren't girls :p

Its natures way of saying this is a bastardation of music, now die for liking it, I'm glad nature included this is our genetic coding.
PS: damn furburt you have a HUGE post count.
Yes. But remember, quality over quantity!
Or in your case, quality and quantity tie.

Anybody in Sydney up for going and breaking his knee-caps?

You're listening to MTV and "the like" and complaining about bad music? There's your problem.

I hadn't heard of him till i saw the news about the concert.
Seriously, he's like 16 but looks 10 and sounds like he's 5.
Can't wait to see what happens when his voice breaks :)

Waiting for his voice to break? I'm pretty sure autotune has a slider for that.

On further reflection, I think classification is the problem. This kid falls under the "musician" category by, but the truth is he's more of a performance piece himself - the art rather than the artist. I mean his look, manner, and music are manufactured for him. That, in and of itself, isn't wrong. The error occurs when his consumers confuse him, the product, with the producers - who are, in this case, record producers.
