End of MW2 (**SPOILERS**):

The end of the first game was great. Your lying injured on the ground, your allies are getting killed, and you pull out a small weapon in a last ditch attempt to kill him and it works and the energy buildup was just so great and intense and it was so unexpected. Then another ally lands in an helicopter and takes you away. Then I play MW2. Your lying injured on the ground, your ally is getting killed, and you pull out a small weapon in a last ditch attempt to kill him and it works and then another ally lands in an helicopter and takes you away. What the fuck IW

COD4.

I mean, seriously, one shot and Zakhaev goes down? Really? No big battle, nothing?

I dunno if MW2 resolved it or not but it was pretty jarring when it first came out.
I do hope you realize that Zakhaev is not a super human, would you rather he catch the bullet in mid air then shoot lazers at you?

no one said the borderlands ending yet?
I was thinking this. It just feels rushed, and there was something missing to that ending, whether it be an improvement on the twist or just better directing.
i was really hoping the we would get in the vault, the start even describes what happens when you find the vault, but i think your right, very rushed.

Whats your biggest in game anticlimax?

mine is in fable 2 when you open the fifty key chest (the hardest chest to open in the game) and it only has $50,000 in it, when by that time you already have over 10 million dollars and you make about $50,000 every half hour.

sorry if this thread has been done before
I'd have to agree with you on that one, or maybe at the end of Borderlands when the Vault has zero fucking treasure in it.

Oh, you should prob slap a spoiler alert in the title of the thread, because I'd imagine most of the conversation in here will involve spoilers.

I think the original ending of Fallout 3 where you just die, was a big anti-climax.

Before Broken Steel of course.

More of a dramatic more then action, but I'd probably say that the car chase was the 'final boss' fight. You fought the chopper, but you didn't really have to fight it. You could have just sat there because shooting that thing was hard as fuck.

Your mom.

BAM!

Oh, I'm so juvenile. But seriously, whenever I went into a match of Horde on GoW 2, expecting an epic game, only to have my team die within the first 5 rounds.

The final boss is... a fistfight with the Pope. Which sounds badass, untill you realise that the man has to be in his 60s, and you killed in excess of 30 guards just to reach him.

There's a "your mom" joke in your title somewhere.

When they built up an epic sword battle for four hours and in the media hype, and then she takes a few swipes at him and pokes him in the chest. I love that movie so very very much, but they shouldn't have hyped the ending the way they did and then end it in less than 30 seconds. When he got up and walked away and then died, that was fitting. They handled it all very well, but the fight could've been a little better. Normally I wouldn't pick on that, but that's where the movie shines and they kind of played up the whole "final showdown" thing.
It's more an homage to the old Chinese kung fu movies. I remember some of the old Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan movies (before Chan went sheer comedy) where the ending was JUST that "anti-climactic" It's more in line that either the main character gets beaten in the beginning and finally triumphs over the bad guy or there's an extra special technique that they've finally mastered that causes this ending.

*realizes how he's dissecting the argument*
... I need to stop reading TVTropes...

Fable II apperently the best way to defeat the man who killed your sister and shot you is to point a music box at him.
