Everyone has had some huge fails in Gta, but what was the best fail you've had.

My most awesome fail was: Me and some friends of mine were having an NRG9000 bailout contest, so I lost a coulple of rounds. I decide to go to the consrtuction sight and bailout off the top of the crane, and I need enough speed so I go as back as far as I can I go back to far I fall down the hole I came up, I have a TINY sliver of health left I'm freaking out because I thought that was awesome, but the NRG9000 comes falling down and kills me.

That was proclamed the greatest fail we've ever had by my friends and I.

Back in GTA 3 I ran away from a car that was about to explode, a piece of the car lands on top of me, pinning me to the ground and slowly draining my health until I died. That was funny.

For the topic,
When playing GTA4 with some friends, I was piloting the helicopter and I jumped out into the water and my friend died. Only...I landed on a boat and died too.

Playing vice city the car i was driving exploded. however instead of me being killed I continued to wall around in the seated position as though i was in an invisible car. I could speed up like when you run but could not fire any weapons and was invincible. Was pretty funny but not being able to kill things put a big downer on it.

Gta London. I was rampaging in the tank, and eventually got brought down. I respawned at the hospital, wondering where there was another tank to pick up, when I saw the burned out remains of my old one coming towards me. I was to distracted thinking about how awesome the fact that it was still there was that I failed to get out of the way as it ran me over. I managed to RUN MYSELF OVER WITH A TANK.

In GTA IV, anything involving a helicopter, a building and the rotor blades.

I always forgot that you could destroy the rotor blades and plummet to your doom while listening to Mama.

In GTA4 when I was trying to hijack someone by shooting through the window of the car.

Well it worked. But I forgot that the car was on a hill. So 2 seconds into my celebration I get run over by my prize and I ended up laughing till I couldn't breathe.

Can't blame you then. Maybe Mistake? Funnest GTA mishap? I dunno.

Glitches tend to be amusing failures. Even if they kill you.

My favourite tactic for escaping the cops in GTAIV is to drive a motorbike onto the subway system and go away underground.

Well, once, I felt bored doing this as I had escaped already, and I started skimming the wall with my bike. Bad idea. I went through a hole in the clip and ended up below the city.

I could go in any direction for quite a while without hitting any "walls", but when I found my way back in, I died somehow. I never saw what killed me, but I went flying through the transparent underside of the city map from the impact.

Probably a train.

More of a win but I was driving along in Vice City saw a cop put out spikes, went up a slope to avoid them slightly too fast and flipped onto my roof, went over another set of spikes on my roof then two cop cars pulled to block and intersection, I hit those flipped back onto my wheels and reversed away into the sunset

Hm. I have a few, but all I remember right now is this.
GTA IV, TBoGT, I cover my shiny new Bullet GT with sticky bombs, hoping to get revenge on a friend of mine who killed me. I notice he's on the second island, while I'm on the third. "It's okay" I say to myself "There's plenty of time" as I take the underground tunnel...
Over the mic I tell him I'm driving over to pick him up since I had found a sports car. He agrees and tells me he's waiting over by "times square". I end up on a straight stretch of road, with him patiently waiting on a sidewalk in the distance. He was turned sideways, so he would see me coming, but only when it was too late. I quickly play the plan through my head. Accelerate quickly, get within two feet of him, bail out and activate my sticky bombs. Well, I begin closing in. My finger is tightening over the Y butten, but before I could do anything I noticed that the rhythmatic beeping my bombs were making began going faster... I realised that they were about to ignite...
I couldn't press Y in time.
The car explodes, killing me instantly, and slowly skids in front of my friend, who now fully realises my intentions...
And is laughing at me...
Yeah, he didn't really trust any of my truce propositions the rest of the game...

I was doing the bank robbery mission in GTA4 and managed to survive the mission with a small sliver of health. Not wanting to risk death I hail a cab back to my destination, the cab lets me out on the opposite side of the street from my goal. After waiting for the traffic to thin out I begin crossing the street and out of nowhere I am struck by a car and die. Threw my controller on that one.

Me and a mate were having an 'elude the police' contest on GTAIV. I'm sure everyone's done it - attract as much heat as possible and then elude them for as long as possible without chickening out and trying to lose wanted stars.

Anyway, I've been going for a while, got enough squad cars after me to re-enact the chase from Blues Brothers and I'm tearing away down the road in an car that's missing most of the chassis all the the windows and I really don't like the look of the smoke billowing from the bonnet.

And so, I decide to perform the risky manoeuvre that is getting out of said soon-to-be-burning-wreck and find a new car to continue my Devil's Rejects-esque flight from the law. And just to make things fun, I decide my next vehicle shall be a nice white squad car. Oh yes.

A few minutes and bullet-holes later, my mate is shaking his head in disbelief as I'm tearing away from a whole mass of squad cars in my very own squad car. Just as my mate says 'well, I was sure you were fucked there', I mount the curb, clip a tree and Nico wraps his head around a fucking lamppost.

Not exactly the heroically defiant end to my blaze of glory I was hoping for.

It wasn't me failing, but more a question of the police failing.

It was in GTA San Andreas, on the highway going from Los Santos to San Fierro.

I had about 4 wanted stars, and after being knocked about by the State-trooper 4x4s I hit a tree. Before I had time to react, police vehicles of all shapes and sizes were slamming to a stop next to me. Then something beautiful happened: A cop got out of his 4x4 (which was perpendicular to mine and crossing one lane of the road), he turned towards my vehicle and raised his weapon, and then BOOMSMASHWTFBBQ! a Swat van smashes into him at an insane speed. He was immediately reduced to jam (jelly for you Americans), his 4x4 flew into the air and span furiously out to sea, bouncing off trees and rocks and eventually exploded before ever hitting the water. The swat van itself was then smashed into by various other police vehicles; frankly it all got rather silly.

My favorite fail of all time is from True Crime; New York. I got bored and put some land-mines across the road. A nearby policeman saw me doing this and began to approach, weapon raised. As he came towards me, a car cut across him and went right over the mines. It promptly exploded and one of its doors flew straight out towards the officer. The burning door made full contact with the officer's shins and removed them clean from his body. His reaction, such as it was, was priceless.
It was something that really needs to be seen but, I have never laughed so hard at a game.

I kept killing these people who were constantly trying to kill me whenever they could in Free Mode on GTA IV, and as I was driving around the city on an NRG I saw their helicopter in the street as he was waiting to pick up his friend. I had sticky bombs so I drove straight at it and heard them through my TV saying "oh no, hurry up, hurry up some guy's coming" so I drive a bit to the right so I can throw the bombs in place, but I hit a bump or something that sends me flying because I was holding the right stick forward a little to gain speed. I fly straight into their propellers and get flung into a building, my sticky bombs completely miss and I can now hear them laughing through my TV. It was a complete fail, although I was laughing myself.

Decided to be Stupid and bail out of a heli when i was flying a Chopper filled with friends.

I flew up as high as i could, And jumped out over the sea, fell all the way down towards the sea.
