BioShock: Fontaine. It was stupid, easy and didn't satisfy anything.

Bioshocks Frank Fontaine.

I was so disapointed with the fight I had to compensate by observing that the entire game was good, despite the last boss.
Hmm it might have just been me but I kinda liked it, I mean you get to get your revenge over Andrew and many other people's deaths! It was satisfying for me, but I do have to say it was easy, but maybe that was because I was playing on easy :p.
Playing through on easy really lets you appreciate the game, eh?

I think that I may just be conditioned to assume that the final encounter should be overly difficult through years of playing games where that holds true.
I did play through the middle difficulty setting partway throughout the game, but my lack of 1337 showed and I had to revert to easy.

Oh, and I didn't add much to the thread, but the biggest letdown would probably have been the end boss from Ghostbusters, I mean gosh talk about easy. I was even playing on hard!

If you want to know how to do spoiler tags you use [ spoiler ] whatever is the spoiler here [ /spoiler ] without the spaces between the square brackets.

Also I must agree Fable 2 was the worst final boss.

Don't forget spoiler tags....
But the topic has the words "final boss" in the title. It's fairly obvious this topic is going to be rife with spoilers for all sorts of games.
Regardless spoiler tags are still needed as you might have of gotten say Bioshock yet but have played all other games in the thread and didn't want to know certain plot related details. We have spoiler tags for a reason and sould be used properly. I'll hardly complain about someone commenting on Gannondorf in a Zelda game as he is always the last boss or Bowser in a Mario game but with something like that it needs spoilers.

Survival crisis z.

the end boss is utterly epic without description.

however, the actual damn boss doesnt even ATTACK you. if you have enough medkits for the - no exageration - 2 thousand undead comeing out PER SECOND (which, if you use your character properly is about three) its pathetic.

Have you ever had a game that was just so perfect in every way to be let down epicly by the the final battle, boss, etc.? Well I am wondering just that what game completely let you down when it came to the end?

Mine had to be a tie between Fallout 3's Colonel Autumn and The Force Unleashed Emperor
The emperor wasn't that bad -

Mine would be Assassins Creed 2, especially since they pull the absolute kardinal (pun intended) sin of letting me fight / see / follow around the big baddie fifty frickin times, every of which I could have easily used to end his life right there on the spot.

But if you're afraid of spoilers for anything then why on earth would you go into a topic about final bosses? The title implies spoilers and it's obvious that everyone else understands this.
You shouldn't be afriad of spoilers as it takes 1 sec to type in spoiler tags. If you are getting a booster shot you know you're getting a needle in your arm but they still make sure you're ready for it they don't just ram it into your arm. Yes while the title does imply that there may be spoilers spoilers can be talked around saying something like I thought the final boss of X game was a push over and a disappointment. If you want to include spoilers you put them in spoiler tags same as if you want toast if put bread in toaster.

Gonna have to say Fable 2 again

but if that doesn't count then... hmmm... Mass Effect 2? It was for a different reason though...

I gotta agree for a god he was easier than the damn stone cherubs (hardest most annoying part of the game)

aside from that yeah fontaine from bioshock and that terminator looking reaper from mass effect two were real let downs

Dragon age origins: awakening, awakening was a total let down, not worth 40 bucks AUD. the boss in it was also really weird and REALLY easy.

Fallout 3: i expected to be fighting some sorta giant robot or a mega-ultra-super mutant or sumthin but instead some idiot with a really week weapon, the guards were harder to kill than him, only because there were 3-4 (cant remember) and they had mini guns.

Fable:tlc: well, to be honest, i liked playing fable on my computer, but the story was crap and the bosses were so easy i would have been better off fighting a horde of summoners or sumthin.

FFVII: safer sephiroth was a nice boss, really easy with the knoghts of the round though, but the "final" boss being a one-hit-ko sephiroth was a real let down, i was hoping for a nice long 1on1 battle between cloud and sephiroth.

so yeah, i have a couple of let downs

The boss to the 2008 Prince of Persia, because it wasn't even a fight. It was pathetic, and it lead to literally the worst ending I've ever seen in a game.

Gears 2. If I have to explain I will...But for me easily the worst ever. I don't even think its possible to die on Insane against it. That could have been so much better.

Fallout 3, as previously mentioned. But then again, almost every fight in that game was a pushover even in higher difficulties (Small Arms ftw), so I guess I wasn't really DISAPPOINTED, but it still deserves a mention for its lack of "epic".

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Gears of War. In the first game you sit down, pull out your sniper rifle and fire away as he walks towards you. After he gets halfway, he's dead. In the second game, you point the Hammer of Dawn target reticule at him and keep the fire button pressed. Sigh...

EDIT: Ninja'd on Gears 2 right above me. =(

Zera Valmar. I suspect he was supposed to put up a fight but still be easy due to plot significane, but I was still disappointed, Valmars Core WAS tougher :p (Grandia II)

Not sure if this counts, but Hero of Sparta for iPod Touch and iPhone.

Basically, the last boss was just a slightly larger version of the common enemy with a slightly larger sword that dealt the same damage as a normal enemy.
To top it all off, the stupid thing could be killed in the same amount of hits as the common enemy.

Which is a shame, because the game built it up with amazing boss battles before it, and then... that thing just ruined it for me.

Pretty much ends the thread for me. It was so pathetic.

Walk behind a robot having fun(the robot has fun, not you), O.H.K.O. some guy, the end.
