Every Resident Evil boss ever.

Gears of War 2. Hold Fire With Hammer of Dawn. Win.
Resident Evil 4 throws Krauser and the village chief at you. When you try to do that on professional you want to snap your controller in 2 (good thing I played it one the Wii so it was already in 2 pieces). Then the final boss is much easier, especially if you got some grenades you want to spare... Yet not my worst.

Tales of Symphonia or Tales of Symphonia 2.
Mithos was kinda weak after you had tried your skills against his other form as Yggdrasil which was a fight filled with flashing attacks that was as good as death if they hit. Also his 2nd form was easier than his first. Tales of Symphonia 2's final boss was you... just standing still and let them kill you was enough to win that fight... that might not count as a final boss though...

Whats next? You have to find a flute to wake the boss up so you can fight it?
I think you had to do just that in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

I hated the Final boss of MAG though.

That's a joke I can't think of anything not mentioned already.

YU YEVON IS NOT A BOSS PEOPLE! Braskas Final Aeon is the final boss. The rest of the game after that cannot in any way be considered a boss fight seeing as you're given auto-life for the entire time. Of course it was gona be easy, it was designed just to wrap up the story, in a less boring way than just watching the characters summon and defeat every Aeon in turn. If you had to do it all without auto-life then lost you'd be even more pissed off because you'd have to do it all over again!

Zeus in God of War 3.

Seriously, that's it? Fighting the king of Olympus on his home turf and this is what I get?
I think the problems with Zeus are first of all that you fight him after Cronos, a battle which defines epic, and second of all that he's the most boring, hard to hate villains since the bald fucker from COD 4. Killing someones never going to be fun unless you develop a hatred for them first. Zeus stabs Kratos through the chest which, considering Kratos' antics, is justified. He destroys Sparta which I dodn't care about. Pummeling his face in was fun but only because he was so uninteresting that I wanted him gone.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, just beating the crap out of an old guy for roughly 3 minutes.

Lost Planet 2

The final "stage" of the boss fight, all you have to do is shoot it and stick a GPS on it and you've won. I was really expecting something more out of the giant Akird that would cause an ice age by just waking up. Reminded me of Uroboros from Resi 5 on steroids.

Necron from Final Fantasy IX. Seriously, he shouldn't have even been in the game. The final boss should've been Trance Kuja.

Gonna have to say Resident Evil 5.

I mean, I always thought Wesker was a weak, boring character, so I guess its not that surprising he had a weak, boring final boss fight

Assassin's Creed 2. 'Nuff said.
Seriously, a fist fight? What the hell? It was a big let-down, especially after all of the epic free-running.

Dragon Age: Origins, I expected to fight the Maker. Now seriously: Fallout 3, a guy in a coat with a pistol (you were probably wearing PA, and laser weapons).
Hmm, why would you fight the maker at the end of DA:O? I though all the setup regarding the Archdemon would have been clue enough.

I was somewhat disappointed by the actual fight at the end of Mass Effect 2, until I fought through the game on Insanity. One of the toughest fights I have faced so far....
I was kidding, but if it was true maybe they could use the stuff about darkspawn tainting gods or something, I didn't really read the codex. No hard feelings ;)

Why would you fight the Maker?

I was let down by that fight too, but only because it was too easy.

Those bolt throwers just make it too simple, and I think you have to use them to get him back in range right?

I've noticed alot of bosses now are easier and more "lets just wrap up the story". Like MW2. I wouldn't call it a final boss, but then it's hard to have a final boss in an FPS like that. Fallout 3, yeah that was a bit of a joke. I managed to kill him and his two guards in a single VATS.

The ME2 final boss was a nice idea, but should've been alot harder really. He was just about figuring out a pattern, and no boss should be like that imo.
Yes, I totally agree, the bosses I hate most are those cut-scene bastards,(Bethesda curse you), the worst thing is that I persuaded Col. Autumn to go "paragon" or something, so I didn't really have a boss fight in Fallout 3. LoL

final fantasy XII.

it as suitably epic and such.
but it how he looked.
he was transforming, going batshit crazy and awesome.
and then he starts gathering metal. and he turns into something i'd like the call the hairdresser from hell.

also his name is The Undying...guess what happened.

Well, the general consensus seems to be that everyone is dissatisfied with every "final boss" ever, in modern games. Fair enough, I guess it just goes to show it's all about the journey instead of the destination.

Some of the games being mentioned, in my opinion, do not really matter when it comes to a "final boss", like Fallout 3 or Mass Effect 2. Those two games had so much more going for them then the challenge of the "final boss". So even if it was easy, disappointing or strange, it didn't really matter because the story carried a significant amount of weight. Not to mention, they were very, very long. The whole challenge was just getting there, basically.. especially Fallout 3.

I guess the final phase of Jasper Batts Jr. in No More Heroes 2.
the middle phase was amazing and should have been the last but I guess the final is more epic and lets you punish him for having such a hard second phase
he starts off by showing you all your friends heads on platters and then screams "NOW YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE!" and fights you in a flying car but when he is about tio kill you your brother come in, saves you and tells you the heads are fake (travis then asks if he can keep one) Jasper then injects himself with steroids and becomes a very hard boss to fight (mostly because he REALLY likes to punch you out windows) after you beat that he falls off the building and then grows to about 50 feet tall but the size causes all of his attacks to miss so you can just run up and attack him until he's dead and he will never hit you.

Super Mario Galaxy 2. Though the second part was pretty awesome, it was just disappointingly easy. It's one of my few problems with the game.

Maybe not the worst example and perhaps not the best game, but Yu Yevon in Final Fantasy X.

For f***'s sake, you have permanent Auto-Life throughout the whole battle! You can't lose!
