I'm not a big sports fan, but Super Bowl XLII. Seriously, that was a real life sports movie. The underdog team with an underdog quarterback is going against the big rich franchise jerks with a perfect season and a big famous quarterback in the ultimate championship. Everyone is betting on the Patriots, who in their arrogance made perfect season memorabilia for the seemingly certain event that they win the Super Bowl. Then, while behind in the last quarter with little time left, they make a big, improbable play and the receiver, who was considered a joke, catches it in an improbable way while going down, and the pass was made after the QB nearly went down with a bunch of guys on him. It ended with a big shock, and Eli Manning was no longer hated by pretty much everyone.

Nadal defeating Federer at the 2008 Wimbledon comes to mind. It looked like Federer was going to come back and win it too. Super Bowl XLII also, with the Patriots falling one win short of a perfect season.
