Finally he decided to help people. If i had 44 BILLION dollars i wouldn't be a selfish prick, id share it with poor people. There is no way you could ever need more than 10 billion dollars in your whole luxurious existence, so why not help people. I applaud this action by Gates, though id go for food and shelter rather than all out vaccines.
10 billion?

I doubt you need that much. You could have a very good life living on 1 billion. After all, that's $100,000,000. Millionaires get by pretty well, too. So keeping 10 billion for yourself is hardly necessary.

He probably has one :p

This is the reason I never understand the reason that people dislike him.

I know Microsoft are a tad evil at times but name me a big corporation that isn't. That being said, at least Bill Gates is using their money to actually do something important other than seeing how many yachts he set on fire.

I agree, i wrote 1 billion first but seeing as how Gates has over 40 billion ahd he did work pretty hard, 10 billion would be kinda alright for him. For the rest of us id say a 100 million would be enough for a good luxurious life.
Oh, okay. I see where you're coming from.

Not the first time I've heard of Gates doing something awesome like this, but certainly the biggest. Bravo Bill, Bravo.

Millions will be saved by these vaccination programmes abroad, and yet thousands still die of vaccine preventable diseases in the developed world because of the Anti-Vaccination movement.

Jenny McCarthy if you ever see me then you'd better run for your life. I'm joking of course. She'll never see me coming.

No matter how much you hate Microsoft (despite the fact that Bill doesn't actually run it anymore) you have to admit, Bill and his massive company has done great things for this planet, even for people without computers.

What can I say, the man is a LEGEND!!!

I guess i can't say he's a greedy MF.

I guess Rubert Murdoch is then.
Probably, Murdoch is the guy who changes his outspoken political views as long as it gets him more money (example being that when all his Fox affiliates were banned from Chinese Satellite TV, he, a staunch anti-communist, said 'well sometimes we need to work with authoritarian regimes' and basically apologized so he could get that business. And yes it actually worked.).

But yeah, I've always liked how Bill has realized that he doesn't need every bit of what he's worth to remain living comfortably and has been giving it back to the world.

See, this is the sort of reason I hate people who blindly despise everything with the name "Microsoft".
They do bad things like Apple as well, but open your eyes and stop going with the preconceptions.

In other news, steve jobs has released a bigger less functional iphone.

That's really generous of him, and even saying "generous" is an understatement. What a great man.
I applaud him for this.
