I wonder how much of his protests are true, it seems he had to be talked into doing the second one by being allowed to do another failed attempt to putting Somerset Maugham's Razor's Edge to film. BTW, Studios: If you are wondering why your film adaptation isn't as successful as the book, writing an ENTIRELY new story for a movie and naming it, and a few characters, after a book doesn't make it a film adaptation.
I thought it was the first Ghostbusters that he did in order to get Razor's Edge greenlit. It finished filming right before he went to work on Ghostbusters and it was released right after. Was he trying to get himself in a remake of a movie he had just done? (I wouldn't put it past Hollywood)

This would seem like some nice integrity on Murray's part had he not voiced Garfield in two God awful movies.
The first one I don't blame him for. It could have been good.

OT:

More power to him.

I don't really see the need for a third Ghostbusters movie, so all I have to say is this:

Ghostbusters 2 was lackluster? Really? We must have both seen a different film. Though I guess that may have something to do with me being a kid when I saw it, a time when it is impossible for a film to be bad. Though i saw it on tv fairly recently, and still enjoyed it.

Yeah its known for a while now that the third movie will be CGI. But i do hope it wont be a cartoonish cgi, because we have tons of that already.
Just recreate their faces, maybe on other, more "fit" actors and use real locations, then do a voice over on it, we have the technology. Just look at Benjamin Button.

Anyway, how come hes holding up GB3, but had no problem whatsoever to do the voice on the video game?

Your probably right, I put stuff out of order all the time.
