The first time I saw that picture was on a friend's Iphone, so I really couldn't get a good look, but it doesn't matter because this jackass is finally dead. Oh, and forget about coming up with any conspiracies just to make yourself feel cool or look edgy, everyone will just shun you.

Exactly. Anyone else?
It's not like the fucker did much after planning 9/11 anyway. Just a dude hiding from the US military in caves.

THAT'S the photo? They needed to write an article and put research into telling you that that was a fake?

I've seen more convincing nude fakes of Katy Perry than that thing.
This. There is something incredibly odd about the photo that was released.

Good thing that photo's fake, I understand that showing his dead body would be a breach of the Geneva Convention.
Hasn't US lately been kinda... Questioning the terms in their practices anyway? Because this is what I have understood.

If someone can break the rules and get away with it, why would you believe they would start obeying the rules all the sudden.

Oh geez...if you look hard enough you can find a conspiracy anywhere.
I think that you're actually a government agent attempting to dissuade us from seeing conspiracies by pretending there aren't any conspiracies.

You sneaky bastard.

Just to let you know, the Guardian isn't a tabloid. The guy might be wearing a tinfoil hat but it's nothing to do with his sources.

OT: Photo might be fake but that doesn't mean the whole story is, putting a bloody head on your rag of a paper just sells more copies.

The Guardian is probably one of the most trustworthy papers in Britain. :-/
Maybe, but the Daily Mail, another rag which ran the fake image and is cited in the article, certainly looks like one.

"Tabloid runs fake image." Nice investigative journalism. You got yourselves quite a scoop. [/sarcasm]

But seriously, It's good The Guardian discovered the image was fake. It seems, however, that in their effort to quash conspiracy theorizing, they managed to create more of it. This thread seems proof enough of that.

This post is obviously a conspiracy to discourage conspiracies! I'd better inform the rest of the internet.

No. But this proves that aliens built the Great Wall of China and that Elvis really is the Highlander.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/02/osama-bin-laden-photo-fake

According to a recent New York Magazine article, DNA evidence confirms that Osama Bin Laden was indeed killed last night. However, a photo which has been circulating on the internet claiming to be the dead body of Osama Bin Laden, has been proven to be a composite of two different images. Does this reawaken anyone's belief that Bin Laden really died in 2001 and that this is just a cover-up to justify the war in Afghanistan?
That news is like, 2 years old! It was first circulating in 2009 [http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:HhEh-2wPwVMJ:www.thepeoplesvoice.org/TPV3/Voices.php/2009/04/29/osama-bin-laden-believed-dead-by-pak-int+osama+bin+laden+believed+killed+by+pak+intel&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk&source=www.google.co.uk] and even then people were calling it out as fake XD It's only popped up again cos tabloids want something to stick on the front cover. Whole thing detracts from the more fun conspiracy theories - this one's a long-deadened horse.

Wait, is that meant to discourage more theories, or egg on compulsive theory finders? Man, it would suck to be an obsessive-compulsive around you :p Or maybe you're speaking from experience lol.

Did you just call The Guardian a tabloid magazine?

Oh fucking wow.

The government hasn't released the picture. That was just probably some guy photoshopping a picture together to make a quick buck from some gullible news team.
This.

But Osama is dead and buried now, after 10 years of being on the run like the coward that he was. Good riddance to an enemy of the free world and congratulations to the United States of America for actually pulling this off.

Besides, if he's dead that would quicken the end of the war, so your argument is invalid.
Based on what? There is at least and equal possibility he would become a "martyr to the cause" and spur further violence.

This. Seriously, newspapers? Not only does the whole idea that there is a photo of a man's dead body to put in papers stupid, but did it not occur to you that the skin tones are oh, I don't know, completely fucking different?

No, this doesn't reawaken my belief that Osama was already dead. It reawakens my belief that British Newspapers are complete retards.

Bin Laden is either actually a corpse by now or he's had plastic surgery, buggered off and this is just a quick fake operation to wrap up "the war on terror" and move the fuck on in the world.

Yeah... the photo is fake, the DNA tests were lies, the raids were staged, the weird-looking compound in the middle of an Afghan city that we "raided"? it's really a movie studio owned by Disney... It's all a plot by Glen Beck and Jon Stewart (secretly working together!) to bring about mass murder across several countries, including, but not limited to: the USA, England, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, South Africa, and Japan.

It's all because the "moon landing" was faked... to cover up what we really found on the moon. Which one brave film director, Michael Bay, has discovered and is about to show us in June. Unless "they" get to him first...

Yes I am making fun of you. That's what you get for taking your news from a tabloid.
alright, that tears it, place your hand here for your complementary internet-high-five.

but yeah, seriously? people DIDN'T know that's shoop'd? either way, the bastard's DEAD. that's all that matters to me.

can't stand conspiracy theorists...
"9/11 was all a hoax to steal more oil!"
"Osama isn't really dead/died long ago, this works to the politicians' advantage somehow!"
"Obama was really born in Kenya!"
"The Holocaust was a lie!"

I agree with South Park, I guess 1/3 of the US population is retarded.

No shit. Of course it's a fake.

With all of the misinformation (or blatant lies) being thrown around at the moment, I'll wait to do any further research on new developments until later this week.
