They claim its 10 years later... but your supposed to be the first bid daddy? hmmmm...
So I have been told that some creatures can actually survive for more than 50 years! Crazy huh?

I am looking forward to this game and yet dreading it all at the same time. I look forward to it because I found bioshock fun. I dread it because the story of bioshock was pretty much wraped up, meaning this is going to be a completely different story and lose something that made many gamers love it. Who knows, maybe the writing will be great *unrealistic optimism*.
The game is placed 10 years after the visit of the outsider of the 1st one. I'm pretty sure I fought Big Daddys in 1st one. So how can I play as the 1st big Daddy...
It's be pretty easy to summise the first Big Daddy was put into a containment cell or something, seeing as it was too powerful. Or some crap like that.

Bioshock 1 was really fun, but I'm nut sure about the whole play as a big daddy thing in Bioshock 2. That doesn't really seem all that interesting to me. I do however like the viral website they have going on somethinginthesea.com Thats really cool.

My God, are you serious...? That's the first I've heard of it. What a fucking joke... are you completely sure? I cannot believe they could come up with something so hideous.

Ah well - we shouldn't really knock it til we've given it a bash, I suppose.
Yep, apparently you play as a "prototype" big daddy that can use adam and plasmids and such. That seems less than interesting to me.

Simple, you didn't fight the FIRST big daddy while you were there. You never found him. Easy enough right?

I haven't played number one but from the screen shots it looked like the bastard child of system shock and fallout. Nothing i'm really excited for.
Ooh, im cool, i can quote yahtzee with no real thoughts/opinions of my own !!!
Whereas you quote elitists in a wanna-be fashion, I'm glad we had this talk.
Elitist? Far from it my friend and I wouldn't want to be... play the game before you quo-MAKE an opinion like that... Plus it can't exactly rip of Fallout when the game play that is used in fallout 3 that bioshock is 'similar' to wasn't used until the 3 game which was released AFTER Bioshock.
LOL, Are you talking to me?
Fallout THREE there have been two before it, and I stated that I only gathered this from reviews and screen shots, I am not expert on the matter. And just because yahtzee said it, I don't think that it makes it false...
When he compares to fallout 3 he actually points out the the things he's talking about didn't apear in fallout 1 and 2
Try that again kiddo, all he says is that thematically it rips off fallout. Also, take a good look at the date that review occured, september 5th 2007. That is almost a year before Fallout 3 was released. AKA he wouldn't have said shit about it because he wouldn't have known anything about it. Please don't spread false information.

Bioshock is my favourite game of all time, even surpassing several FF games, however the new game isnt looking promising. As soon as i read that they are doing a team deathmatch type of thing i hung my head in shame, and making the big sister the main bad guy gives the game less substance; we need another person like ryan or fontaine with all the philosophy. mmmm

However im looking forward to seeing what more plot twists and crazy characters they've made. and i hope they bring back sander cohen ;)

The story wasn't all wrapped up like some people are saying, i dont get it.
Well i guess it was if you saved all the little sisters, but if you were a prick you got an open ended one. I guess that's where #2 will jump off from. With the (ghost Sub).

Cohen won't be coming back in my game after the mangled bloody pulp I made of him...

Also, Bioshock multiplayer... no thank you.

You should check out www.somethinginthesea.com

I want to see the Big Sister already!
Those cunning bastards really know how to set the mood.

After just a couple of minutes on the site, sifting through the photos, I genuinely got pretty chilled.
The garbled radio transmissions, the frighteningly interconnected pieces of evidence of incidents scattered around the coastal regions of the world, and the messy, almost-crazed, text scrawled all over really serve to establish some intrigue.

Edit:

There was a thread revealing her a while back...

I might be. Played the demo for the first one on PC and it was pretty good (though the graphics and quite shitty)
I'm sorry sir, but you must be mistaken.

Might you have been playing System Shock, Bioshock's spiritual predecessor, instead?
Because in that case, it was created quite a while back in the earlier days of gaming, and as such, it cannot be faulted much for its graphical inadequacies when compared to today's standards.

Or perhaps your PC was simply unable to support the massive graphical requirements and you tuned them down, deciding to blame the game for your depreciated experience.

I am looking forward to this game simply for the enjoyment of exploring my way through the remains of Rapture now that the leading powers have found themselves flushed out. I don't know how they could possibly develop a story line or hidden plot, because they did a lot in the first game centering around the original character, and most people in Rapture are now dead.

However, in this case, curiosity will get the better of me.

Ah fair enough, misunderstood you for two reasons. Due to the quote before your comment it seemed you were referring to Yahtzee and It didn't really seem like Istickell compared anything, just said "A comparison couldn't be made between the two until the third game!"
My bad,...kiddo. Ha.
