I'm sticking with the atmosphere and the artistic theme being the only good things about the game. I didn't really like the story that much at all.

The fact that killing only ONE Little Sister, even if you dedicated the rest of the game to setting them free after killing the first, made you an evil bastard who went on to control the city rather than giving the Sisters the life they so deserved has always bothered me.

I'd have been fine with the endings any other way, and even more so if they included a neutral ending.

Shitty gunplay, abundance of fetch quests, a horrible escort mission and then a shitty bossfight followed by a shitter ending.
Both endings to the game suck hard.

Yes I have played bioshock. I was merely saying that the whole good/bad ending was about moral choices. It didn't matter that you harvested 1 or all of the little sisters, the fact is you killed one when you didn't have too - with the only reason was to get more power.

Although I agree the ending was a bit harsh.

The first time I played it through I got the good ending (even if it was fairly crap), as soon as I got the fully upgraded Electro-Bolt and Incinerate plasmids, then most of the game was a breeze. But I never touched some weapons, like the crossbow, and I only used the chemical thrower for the final boss.

Sure when you save the Little Sisters you get less ADAM but its quite easy to save up for the important stuff, and you get free gifts.

Not that I care. I knew already that the two-ending thing was a load of bullshit. It's only a cutscene anyway.

It's just that Tenenbaum saw that you were capable of mercy, but didn't show it at all times in the game. I know, because I got that exact same ending.

Same thing happened to me only in opposite. I saved the first little sister and harvested the rest cuz i wanted ADAM. I had the good ending. I was like

OT: I think there are actually 3 endings in bioshock, one you get if you save all of the little ones, one if you harvest them all, and one if you harvest one and save the rest.

Yep, the endings in Bioshock are delightfully mediocre. It reminds me of Fallout 3 in that aspect - fantastic games with endings that are surprisingly average. Personally, though, that didn't really colour my opinions of either game. I think Bioshock is awesome.

You never touched the crossbow? That weapon is like AWESOME. Especially the trip wire bolts.

I loved the game myself, but it's true that the last bossfight is incredibly crap, so is the escort level and the ending is very dependant on 1 Little Sister. I saved them all though (I'm cool like that), so I had no problems.

There are 3 endings though, 1 good one if you save them all, 1 neutral-bad in which Tenenbaum is just disappointed and 1 really evil one if you kill all the Little Sisters in which Tenenbaum totally freaks out.

I loved the game for the mid-game plot-twist though, and the incredibly atmospheric and well-fleshed out environment (just collect all the tapes, it creates a fantastic image of life in Rapture). I never wanted to kill a boss as much as the last boss. Sadly, the actually crappy fight made that fight even more disappointing.

I got it for a reduced price, so I think it was worth it.
