I've decided to play through bioshock again since I got myself a lovely LG high Def TV (if your curious about the LG tele's I thoroughly recommend them, I could lick the screen when I see chocolate)... anyway... onto the crux of this thread.
I've found I don't like Bioshock, the first playthrough was epic due to its narrative and in the back of my mind I knew that, but through the second and subsequently this playthrough I find I'm just going through the motions.
I've turned off vita chambers and put the difficulty on hard, which the ardent Bioshock supporters states dilutes the experience, but I'm not liking it one bit. The combat is "meh", sure I can create strategies to overcome foes but I still find them to be too easy and not a problem, I actually had a problem with a splicer when my Telekenisis wouldn't pick up barrels for me to shove in her dirty rotten face and I died. I thought, damn I wish I had Freemans gravity gun since that fucking works all of the time.
Anyway, I understand Bioshock is great, yes I thought that too on first play through, but the narrative kept me going... now I'm forcing myself to like it and play it to make use of my stupidly good TV.
